- Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Likes: Nice pools, Lots of Food Options, Very Clean and Maintained. The people that sells stuff on the beach are very polite and are not pushy. Monkeys, racoons and igunanas visit the resort. Its a very beautiful area. Things to be aware of: 1) Always wear footwear around the pool, It's extremely slippery. We saw many people slip and fall 2) Don't go near the rocky areas in the ocean. We knew people that were stung by a sting ray, a sea urchan and jelly fish. Keep to the pool. 3) The food is good, its not fantastic. The buffet is actually pretty damn good, the Japanese restaurant has the best fusion options. 4) They don't tell you that you have to book the Teppanyaki at the front desk at least two days in advance. 5) The hotel should run a shuttle service to the local town to support the local business and help guests get out for a bit. But they don't. The location is isolated, so after 4 or 5 days your are looking for some outside stimulation. 6) 50% of the staff speak very little English. Just a heads up. 7) The tubs on the deck are a huge waste of time. They are not jetted, nor are they private. Your patio lights never turn off, so everyone can see you bathing. We never saw anyone use the tubs 8) Bathroom door in the room is glass and open at the top. Be prepared to hear and smell all your partners body functions.
- Liked: Staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
This property has many pools and plenty of space no matter how many people it never feels crowded. We liked that it has plenty of restaurants to choose from. The only thing we did not like was the first impresion from check-in counter. The guy that did our check in, was not very welcoming or inviting. Im not expecting a red carpet or anything, but atleast a welcome or a smile. I guess maybe because we are not members of the resort and just renters. Who knows, but usually when going to a resort in other places, they ask us what are we celebrating or what is the reason for a visit then they recommend places to go and visit. This was our first time in Costa Rica so we were new to things we could do. Some help would of been nice. We found that the person carrying our luggage and housekeepjng was nicer than the consierge and chick in people. The house keeping was so honest and humble costarican people.
