Beautiful, Cozy and Relaxing

Posted Jan 12, 2018
Pros: Location, grounds, staff, view
Cons: more light in the room
I’ve never seen so much vibrant green color as when we visited Arenal Volcano area. Needless to say the grounds of the hotel are absolutely beautiful: you are surrounded by green lush vegetation & flowers with colourful bloom! Rooms in little houses give you a lovely cottage feel. The hotel definitely has a cozy & relaxing atmosphere (which is perfect after spending your days filled with crazy Arenal activities!) Breakfast was included (we had to wear wristbands) and had a nice selection of typical hot/cold breakfast items, absolutely satisfying and the best part was having it while watching colourful birds eating from the bird feeders next to the breakfast area. We did not eat at the restaurant however one time we ordered soup from the menu to our room and it was absolutely delicious (herbs and flavour were heaven! ;)) Our room was nothing fancy but it was very spacious & clean, had a huge window, 2 queen beds, safe, fridge, coffee maker, “mini-bar” with beer/wine/snacks, separate shower/washroom. Wine glasses were a nice touch & it was lovely to sit on the porch, sipping wine & enjoying the sun (or rain) & the view. Hotel offers various trips & excursions but since we had a car–we did most of them on our own. Gated parking area had enough space not to have any issues to park at any time of day or evening. We really loved the location of the hotel: a few minutes drive to La Fortuna yet still secluded and peaceful. Definitely great value for your money!

Arenal Volcano Inn gets the high marks!

It was a good experience. Staff are really professional. I like that most of them are bilingual for folks like myself with zero to little Spanish fluency. Breakfast was very good even in comparison to more expensive places in San Jose. Arenal Inn is also close to great tourist destinations, some of which pick you up from there!

Beautiful individual bungalows near Volcano Arenal

Posted Apr 15, 2017 on Orbitz
We loved it here! The staff were so helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to give World-class service! Even the small gestures such as fresh fruit juice when we arrived made this one our best experience. From our room you could see the volcano. The rooms were individual bungalows and were very spacious. The shower had one of those rainforest shower heads. It felt amazing after a long trip. The breakfast buffet was delicious!

Nice hotel with view of the volcano. Nice staff. Bed was uncomfortable to us. Ate dinner at restaurant. We were asked if we had a reservation. Upon saying no, we were directed to a table near the entrance. There were better tables available that never got filled while we were there.
