The Chateau was a fantastic facility. We stayed here while attending a conference near by. Quiet and relaxing after long conference days. I would HIGHLY recommend

Beautiful Boutique Hotel with excellent staff.

Posted Feb 20, 2018
Pros: I loved the ambiance of the hotel, the staff, the quality of our room, and the amenities provided.
Cons: The walk to the lake front seats should not be through the restaurant. There should be a separate walkway down to that area.
Location: We attended the Food and Wine Festival and strolled through the shopping are in Palm Desert and Palm Springs.
This boutique hotel was a wonderful place to stay while we visited the Palm Springs area. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure everyone in our party was well taken care of. The food at the restaurant was delicious, fresh, hearty and beautifully presented. Our rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. I will most definitely stay at The Chateau at Lake La Quinta again.

Amateur Hour

Posted Feb 11, 2018
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Front desk staff and reservations
After 20 minutes of fumbling around on the computer the front desk guy informs me they don't have my deluxe lake view room available, for which I had prepaid $375. The only room left is a handicapped ground floor room with no view, and they were going to charge me full rack rate of $325 for it. I ask to speak to a manager. Of course the manager isn't on the property, despite the fact it's mid day Saturday on one of the busiest weekends of the year in the Palm Springs area. So I'm left dealing with incompetent desk guy. I grew up in the hotel business, so I understand that mistakes happen. However, the correct response when a hotel screws up is to apologize and do something to take care of the customer. This place couldn't seem to care less. I decided to cut my losses and not waste any more money on this place. The only other room in the area available at the last minute on a Saturday was at a Motel 6. The front desk people (yes they had 2 at Motel Six) were extremely friendly, efficient, and helpful. Don't waste your time or money on the "Chateau". They have no business charging $300+ a night for rooms if they can't manage themselves as well as Motel 6. Total amateur hour.

Beautiful Getaway!

Posted Jan 29, 2018
Pros: That its dog friendly!
Location: There's several restaurants & grocery stores nearby.
One of the reasons we chose to stay here was because it was dog friendly. I loved how all the rooms faced the lake, the restaurant, and the bar. I will definitely be coming back with my pups.

Location, location, location.

Pros: The art deco of the rooms and the outside restaurant.
Cons: Telephone had a dial tone only if the speaker button was pressed. A 5 AM wake up call on three days became a 5 PM call instead.
Location: Costco, a movie theatre, Walmart, fast food restaurants, a major date farm called Shields.
Close to massive shopping, golf courses, and restaurants. Centrally located.
