"This was like the 10th stay with Hotel Kundalini. So, I obviously love the hotel. It's about 100 meters north of the craziness of downtown Montanita You cannot hear anything but the ocean. It's a beautiful and tranquil place. The rooms are clean. They're quiet. They're set up nicely so you can immediately assimilate and get comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel. I think they're amazinly good at being helpful. ON a weird note, The car would not start. The owner personally drove to a car parts store and bought cables so he could jump our car! They took my stay or visit personally. No "hey call a tow truck". They jumped on it and fixed it and sent me on my way happier than I was when I arrived. Thank you!"

"We always write what we did like and what we didn't like so much. Onto the not so much to get to the awesome! The only thing we can think of is we didn't feel as secure as we could have with the room. The windows can't be left open (screens) if you want your items as protected as possible that makes it stuffy and warmer in the room when you are gone. However, staff is around, it's a close knit community, theft would be rare and would probable come from a guest. We DID like the staff, amazing owner, under some difficult circumstances the owner really helped us out. The courtyard is pretty, hammocks to relax in. Easy to walk to the beach or grab groceries etc. We would stay there again! "

"It was a pleasant stay. The owner was very helpful and provided me with good information and suggestions. As I'm not Spanish-speaking (my bad!) it was a major convenience to have fluent English speaking owners; at hand."

"Owners were very friendly and helpful. This is a family friendly hostal with no partying, drinking, loud music. Made it easy to sleep. Rooms are basic, no AC, no hot water but private bathroom in our room. Bedroom could use fresh coat of paint but everything was clean. For the price it was a great value. Without a car it is likely further from the beach than easily accessible. We had our own car so it was a short drive. We would definitely recommend this hostal."

"The rooms were infested with water bugs. The beds had them! It was horrifying. Once we informed the staff they stated they were unable to do anything about it. We ended up having to switch hotels as every single room had millions of water bugs. "
