Utterly relaxing and tranquil
Wonderful, relaxing location. Backdrop of vineyards and Almond fields was breathtaking. The hotel is an architect's dream stay and the surrounding landscape was mesmirizng. Dinner at night in the courtyard was so romantic. It was like our second honeymoon. Can't wait to go back, maybe in the spring to drink in the Almond blossom.

When a hotel is open,then it is always expected that all facilities would be available. To have an indoor + an outdoor pool also spa all closed is seriously disappointing. Lack of other guests was also a shock. No atmosphere and lack of quality food and service. A very disappointing experience.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review. We kindly inform you that all our facilities are available all year around but the outdoor pool due to the weather is only open from 1st May till 31 October. Our Spa is open every single day from 11a.m till 9 p.m but an appoitment 24 hrs in advance is required. This hotel is located in a very quiet place and the atmosphere is calm in the weekdays. On the other hand our restaurant is one of the best of the area & most of our products are fresh & bio. We are very sorry about your experience & we hope to see you again in summer season.

Peaceful but off the beaten track
The hotel is in a lovely setting, but off the beaten track. You'll need a car or taxis to get to and from, and some of the local roads were in very poor condition. Decor is simple and modern, if a little stark. Everywhere was very clean; we had to move from 102 as it smelled very strongly of blocked drains, but no doubt that will have been corrected by now. Breakfast was cold buffet, but with plenty of choice. Service was pleasant and friendly. The WiFi was reasonably good, given the remote location.

Wonderful hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel very relaxing. Sat in the garden by the pool enjoying the view. The room was quite small, excellent shower. Restaurant was good but very quiet on Friday night. Saturday was much busier. The surrounding area was great and I took photos morning and evening. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful.

A week visiting friends in a good value hotel.
We used the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis to be with friends who live nearby. We did not use the spa. The hotel appeared to be getting ready for the main season and will be very nice in summer. Service was first class with a warm welcome and staff who were very helpful. The facilities in the room were a bit basic but clean and functional. The balcony gave a splendid view. I would go back there as it gave good service and value for money.

Contemporary style, clean and comfortable hotel
Very pleasant hotel with a contemporary, minimalist style. The room was clean and comfy, as was the rest of the hotel. Inclusive continental breakfast was very good - especially the coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. the service was pleasant, but a bit slow and although the English spoken by most of the staff was excellent, there was one waiter who's English was poor, leading to misunderstandings.

Absolutely amazing massage! Very relaxing. It was the best thing during my stay. Staff is nice and friendly. When I book that room: Expedia confirmed it will be with balcony, but actually it was not. Hotel explained that they have misunderstanding between them and Expedia. I was not happy with that and they offer me other room with balcony for extra $5. Unfortunately we could not use that balcony after all because it had very bad smell and we must keep out door closed. Breakfast was nice. Room small but clean.

Clean and simple hotel
The hotel was clean and simple. Difficult to find but managed with the help of a local resident who was extremely friendly. The spa was very expensive and therefore we didn't use it.

Style, relaxation and comfort in a rural idyll.
Spent 10 wonderful relaxing days at this gorgeous rural boutique hotel. Fab food in the restaurant also. Staff friendly and attentive to the needs of the guests. Highly recommended.

Gem of a find.
I'm rather in two minds about recommending this fabulous Spa Hotel as I don't want everyone flocking there and ruining it! It is a wonderfully stylish, tranquil, calm and welcoming oasis in the middle of La Romana. The quality was top class and the room modern and vibrant. What stood out for me was the quality of the Spa and the wonderful lady who did my massage - Mariebelle. Certainly one of the most relaxing massages I have ever had - I would recommend this hotel to couples and singletons alike - it would appeal to all hedonists!

Restful, peaceful, modern hotel
We were looking for a quiet couple of days away, and this was a perfect tranquil location. The hotel was calm and peaceful , the decor modern and restful. We had a little balcony with a table and chairs, so we could sit and admire the lovely views in total peace. The spa was not open, which was a shame. The breakfasts were ok, buffet style, and in the evening we found the restuarant food to be of good quality , well prepared and presented. The service was a bit slow one night, as there was only one member of staff waiting on a busy restaurant. The service in general was very good, marred only on check-out when we were told that we had not paid for our accomodation, though we had paperwork from hotels.com to prove that we had! This was resolved by another member of staff. We would recommend La Romana, however, and would return for a quiet break. It's in a handy location for the airport and the surrounding area, with its vineyards and bodegas, and the traditional marble works, is both intersting and beautiful. We thought it would make a lovely wedding venue.

Hotel and Spa La Romana
Very peaceful attractive hotel. Bedrooms were attractive - modern and cool and grounds were lovely with wide ranging views. Quite remote and very difficult to find - no signs in village at all and even the locals had trouble directing us. Early in September we seemed to be the only guests which is a shame as it's really nice. Dining room not open on Sunday evening - bit of a problem as none of the local restaurants are either.

Un personnel très professionnel, aimable et souriant, vraiment à l'écoute de vos besoins. Même pour vos besoin culinaire si ceux ci ont des restrictions (sans gluten, lactose etc etc). Les petits déjeuners : impeccable , rien à redire, jus de fruits fraichement pressée, il y a du salé et du sucré. N'hésitez pas à prendre vos repas midis ou soirs, une très bonne cuisine et si vous désirez quelques chose qu'il n'y a pas sur la carte , ils feront tout pour vous satisfaire. Maintenant parlons de la literie : là je leur met un 20 sur 10, vous vous allongés et en moins de temps qu'il faut pour le dire, Morphée vous embarque pour une nuit de repos au paradis. Côté salle de bain, il ne manque rien à votre disposition séchoir à cheveux,gel douche en distributeur. Et cerise sur le gâteau, il y a toujours un membre du personnel qui parle votre langue (merci Carlos) mais les autres se débrouilleront très bien pour vous comprendre (merci aussi aux autres membres)...en bref, un séjour que je note 20 sur 10 sur tout l'ensemble des prestations.

Hele fijne sfeer, mooie lokatie, mooie kamers met heerlijke bedden en een hele lekkere douche. Ontbijt was zeer goed verzorgd en het eten in het restaurant was ook prima. Zeker aan te raden!

beautiful location with more potential
the hotel is wonderfully situated and beutifully renovated. All the decoration is perfectly done. However, our room was rather small and had almost no storage space. Unfortunately, the walls are thinner than thin and we could hear our neighbours talk in their room :-( . We would have loved to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and spend some time under the big fur trees, maybe reading, or just listening to the birds singing and enjoy the silence. There are no comfortable garden beds to lay and enjoy, just uncomfortable metal chairs... For a Relais du Silence we find that rather poor. Of course, we could have booked the spa area for 27 euros - we find that rather expensive for 90 minutes using the pool and the long chairs. For that price in Switzerland we get 3 hours of 5 different saunas, 2 pools, hamams and jetstreams! It is as we said: beautifully located, but some things have potential to develop...

I would just like to clarify that you are confusing the outdoor pool area with the spa. The use of the outdoor pool and long chairs is free of charge. The spa area is a beautiful detached building inspired in a Moroccan hammam. We are certain that we are cheaper than Switzerland!!!

Very beautiful and relaxing hotel.
it was a bit difficult to find , but it was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. This is the place to be when you look for a quiet place with not many people around.

Særpræget, men luxeriøst spahotel i bjergene.
Et fredfyldt sted langt ude på landet. Dog ikke så fredfyldt de første 2 dage p.g.a. et større arrangement, hvilket vi dog blev gjort opmærksom på inden vi kom. Maden på hotellet var rigtig god og til rimelige priser. Der var mulighed for udendørsservering, hvilket vi dog fravalgte, da der var et par katte, der tissede ned fra træerne og gik på bordene. Andre gæster fodrede dem ved bordene. Spaen prøvede vi en enkelt gang. Rigtig god til prisen. Personalet talte OK engelsk og var utroligt venligt og imødekommende. Sengene var supergode. Der var dog noget varmt på værelserne - over 25 grader i hele perioden selv om aircondition kørte.

La habitación correcta y el desayuno también. En el spa nos dieron libertad en cuanto a tiempos y la verdad es que se agradeció porque, aunque no es muy grande, sí daba pie a relajarse y resultaba muy agradable. Si tuviera que poner un pero sería la cena. Nos metieron en una especie de salon de bodas...frío....impersonal....nada que ver con lo que se supone que son los hoteles con encanto. La comida no estaba mal pero igual sí un poco desproporcionado en lo que se refiere a calidad - precio.

Fantastisk hyggeligt hotel. Super personale - dog en fordel hvis man kan spansk, da deres engelsk ikke er det bedste. Lækkert spasted og poolområde. Maden super lækker. Helt sikkert et sted vi vil komme tilbage til, når der skal slappes helt af.

En overnatting i forbindelse med hotellets cubansk fest. Betjeningen meget vennlige og imøtekommende. Hotellet ligger i landlige strøk, rolig og romantisk stemning. Fikk et stor rom med takterrasse. Spa er fantastisk. Anbefales på det sterkeste. Det cubanske festen på hotellets hage var en suksess, god mat og familievennlig.

Nous voulions nous faire plaisir avec ma copine pour nos retrouvailles. Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour sa situation géographique, pour le calme et surtout pour le Spa. Nous avons tout de même été très déçus... 100€ la chambre, ce n'est quand même pas rien! Et encore, étant en promo! Chambre assez petite, on se sent vite à l'étroit. Design et moderne mais avec un volet espagnol vieux et rouillé qui claque jour et nuit sur la rambarde elle même rouillée et et vieillotte. Des bruits désagréables comme le compteur électrique, la ventilation qui souffle fort de façon intermittente en plus... Il n'y a pas de piscine, attention! Il s'agit d'un spa! Le spa est tout simplement magnifique et les massages semblent de très bonne facture. Mais tout est payant! Je peux comprendre pour les massages, mais payer minimum 27€ Supplémentaires /personne pour accéder au Spa, c'est du vol je trouve. Surtout que c'est très ambigu que ce soit dans la description sur internet ou à l'accueil. Le petit-déjeuner (inclus lui!) est tout simplement superbe! Fruits frais, jus frais, viennoiseries, fromage, charcuterie, boissons chaudes, yaourts, céréales, le choix est énorme!! Bon séjour.

La estancia en si fue buena,la habitación estaba muy bien , la comida era cara y de diseño por lo que no se come bien.Calidad precio muy mala ,la forma de contratiación del hotel da a entender que por el pecio tienes el ""Spa incluido"" cuando no es cierto ,al irnos nos pidiron 60% mas que valia la habitación € por 30¨minutos de spa , por lo que la contratación es engañosa,debo decir que no vamos a ir mas y bamos a hacer una reclamación en "Consumo" y mas cuando hay espas en la zona vastantes mas varatos , no lo recomiendo porque recepción nunca dijo que el espa no iva incluido, nos sentimos engañados. Estimado Angel Antonio, En la confirmación de su reserva, que ustedes mismos nos enseñaron pone claramente que el spa tiene un coste adicional y que deben llamar al hotel para hacer la reserva del spa. Es de nuestro máximo interés dar la información con el máximo detalle para evitar este tipo de situación que se ha producido con usted. En cuanto a nuestra carta es muy variada, de raciones abundantes, no consideramos que sea de diseño y los precios están acordes a la calidad de los productos que utilizamos. Sentimos su decepción

Un oasis en el desierto
Era nuestro séptimo aniversario de bodas y les pedí que nos pusieran una rosa en la habitación. Fueron muy atentos y lo agradecemos. Además disfrutamos del SPA y de masajes descontracturantes. Sin duda volveremos... cuando hagamos los 8 años de casados.

Great hotel for relaxation and spa
Avslappende spatur alene. Hotellets personale var meget hyggelige og behjelpelige. Maten på restauranten var meget bra og gunstig priset. Spa behandlingene var ok priset, men hadde ikke det største utvalget av behandlinger. Avstanden fra Alicante flyplass er ca 40km og en taxi koster ca 65 Euro. Vanskelig å velge buss. Leiebil anbefales, men IKKE Goldcar. Generelt et bra hotell for den som trenger å komme bort fra hverdagens kjas og mas!

A tranquil hotel. Very quiet and relaxing. A good choice if you want to relax, go to the SPA and get a good nights sleep. The room was better than we expected! Rather big and the standard was great. You could hear noices from the stairs and the other guests and it was sometimes a bit bothersome. The hotel had a nice pool and a few sunchairs to relax in. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Some didn't speak english, but we didn't find it to be an issue. The food was quite expensive, but well made. Didn't try the lunch because we found it to be too costly.
