Wonderful Surprise!

Pros: Everything!
Location: Mountain Creek Inn is a property of Callaway Gardens and the stay includes access to the Garden. There is also an animal park in Pine Mountain.
When I originally made the reservations, I had requested a roll-away cot for extra sleeping. When I arrived, Dianne, working the desk, said that they do not have roll-aways. She asked me if an air mattress would work. I had three adults and three children so I needed extra sleeping room so I said we could work with that. Dianne left the desk for a few minutes and came back and told me she hated to see anyone sleep on the floor so she upgraded my room at no additional cost. We ultimately got a suite with two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a huge living room area. Thank you very much, Dianne and Mountain Creek Inn!

Desperate need of renovations!

This hotel is in desperate need of renovations. Furniture old; nasty carpet tiles in rooms. "Upgraded" to king suite with roof top balcony. Balcony bricks were loose, some even laying loose and out of position. Pergola had wood shavings underneath and across patio. Wrought iron chaise broken. Room itself was better, but furniture not even dusted.

Enjoyed the stay. Not season so very quiet. Older motel so needed some updates but very clean.

Too dated, inadequate staff, musty smelling room.

Walked in and had to stand in line to check in for over 30 minutes. Most of the time there was one checkin clerk and was taking an inexplicably long time with each guest. Finally got room. Drove around back and it was obvious this was an old motel, slightly remodeled. In fact discovered this was originally a 1950's Holiday Inn. Walked in and the musty smell was strong. Honestly wondered how healthy this environment was. When I was younger, I wasn't so picky, but in my 60s I am reluctant to stay in such a place if I can avoid it. The next day I checked out a day early and moved to a sister property, The Lodge & Spa, that was booked the first night. Total opposite experience. My advice, if you can't get The Lodge, don't go. Callaway can put lip stick on a pig, but is still a pig. Tear it down.

Pros: Easy to walk around. Well kept grounds and nice staff.
Cons: Mattress was slanted down from middle.
Location: Great shopping in Pine Mountain, Newnan and Senoia. Lovely trails for walking throughout the gardens. Very helpful staff at Gardens.
Great day wandering about the Gardens. Missed the azaleas but it is still beautiful.

Disappointing Service @ Mountain Creek

Check-in was less than thorough, had surprise "resort fees" due at check-out. Key was not programmed correctly and had to return to desk for a redo on key. Upon entry, toilet was running. The maintenance was quick to replace a part and repair toilet. Our 2nd day, we had NO housekeeping service. Upon calling the desk, the clerk asked, "None at all?" . . . Upon our request, towels were delivered. The next day, I spoke with clerk, who gave a discount (discount was on the surprise "resort fees"). The bathroom had recently been renovated and was nice. The lobby was welcoming and pleasant, as was the courtyard. However, a cup of coffee was $3.50 - nothing extra, no flavored creamers nor special blend coffee - just plain coffee. This was our 35th Wedding Anniversary get away. I was disappointed, in general. I would choose to stay in a different Inn should we return to the area.

Our reservation was at the Mountain Creek Inn, when we arrived the Mountain Creek Inn was renovating and our reservation had been moved to the Lodge and Spa for the same price. Everyone from the valets to the front desk personnel were extremely nice and accommodating. The room was magnificent.

Girls' Reunion

Pros: Resort feel. 2 queen beds in each room and great atmosphere.
Cons: furniture needed a little updating and I think they are getting there.
Location: Lots to do in the gardens. Love the Birds of Prey and all the trails. Wish the Horticultural center was still open but the butterflies were great.
This was a Girl's weekend reunion of old roommates. We all turn 60 this year. The cabin was perfect for this celebration. We totally enjoyed all the amenities that Callaway offers with the Room. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Comfy bed, hot water with excellent water pressure. Quiet, clean and close to park and local restaurants. Great weekend trip from Atlanta.

Beautiful Location

Nice location---we were there over the New Year Holidays for a restful break. Very relaxing and lovely location. The only downside was that the heat was difficult to regulate.
