close to Lackland AFB

Posted Oct 16, 2017
Pros: location from AFB
Cons: signage to find your way to the hotel
Location: Many, many restaurants on 410, 2 exits north. Downtown is about 15-20 minutes away
Between 5-10 minutes to the Lackland AFB gate. breakfast was better then we expected (scrambled eggs & sausage) & coffee was very good (available 24hrs). Nice bar for a quiet drink. getting into the hotel from Route 90 takes some thought (signs are small). Only negative was the room above us had some kids jumping off the bed and onto the floor at 10:30 - 11:00 at night but you can't fix rude people with uncontrollable kids. (Think the kids finally passed out around 11:00) All the staff were very nice. Room was very clean & bed was very comfortable.

Nice hotel. Close to Lackland AFB and fast food

Posted Oct 7, 2017
Pros: Nice upgrades.. Adequate breakfast.
Cons: none of the pillows were comfortable
Location: We were here for an Air Force graduation and the location could not have been better. We were only a few miles from Lackland AFB.
This was a nice hotel and looks like it was recently upgraded. .

Very nice hotel...only problem was room key

Posted Oct 7, 2017
Pros: Room is spacious
Cons: room key
The room key kept needing to be reactivated...worked in all doors except for room...room 100...maybe it is the door reader

Great staff. Very accommodating. Good location if visiting Lackland AFB. However could use a bit of variety with their breakfast.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It was clean affordable and close to base. The staff even handed out information we needed for the afb.

Pleasantly surprised

Posted Sep 16, 2017
Having recent foot surgery it was so nice to have a bathroom fully equipped with hand rails and a bath seat. The bathroom was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The staff were pleasant and did their job well, including the housekeepers. Only annoying thing was the static noise coming from the alarm clock. We just didn't unplug it and dealt with it while sleeping 😌

"Best" Best Western ever

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Large hot breakfast served daily early enough to get to base events. Waffles in shape of Texas. Very nice staff, very close to base, beautiful clean facility. Fabulous beds. Slept like a baby. No complaints at all. Felt very safe.

nice hotel, very clean

Posted Sep 9, 2017
Pros: It was quite, clean and everyone was very friendly. The pool area was clean. The breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: The shower head needs to be lower. The toilet tissue roll needs to be out to the side of the toilet not behind it.
Location: The location was not near anything to do. You either had to drive or take bus to get to town for something to do.
We liked the hotel because it was very quite, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.
