Great Hotel.... In time of need

Pros: Hotel was very clean, indoor pool was mazing! I loved the HOTEL STAFF they were AWESOME!! Lets just say I WILL BE BACK!!!
Location: Right off the freeway, if you drive about 6 miles south to CAJUN FIELD, and about 1.5 miles north to Moore Park.
With all of the flooding in Lafayette and surrounding areas I did not think I would be able to find a nice hotel at a great price at the last minute.

Looks and feels like brand new

It's about a year old so they said but I could "smell the fresh paint". The front desk was pleasant and helpful. The grounds were well kept and it was in a nice location with easy access.

very nice hotel

The only problem we had was finding it, we followed our gps and there was no hotel there. It was about a mile back and on the other side of the road.

Even though the hotel in renovating, the front office staff made up for the noise. And with these renovations the hotel will be even better for guest in the future.

Manager seems very inexperienced and doesn't have

Hotel said it was pet friendly on cell phone website. Hotel wanted to charge a $350.00 pet fee because they are no longer pet friendly. Front desk clerk who checked us in saw our dog and didn't say anything. Hotel ended up charging a $30.00 pet fee. After we left hotel they charged my debit card $194.00 for linen that got dirty and turned into hotel. They ended up crediting card after we called them and looked at their cameras. I would not recommend staying there.

Remodeling almost complete

Just pass through. The lobby and room looked like new. Comfortable bedding and many pullows to choose from. Only issue was the shower regulator was very very hard to get and keep the right temperature. It was either hot or cold. I spoke to the front desk the morning we left and they made note of it. When we walked out the manager was there also and said they would get if repaired. I felt they would. Would return again.

Friendly service and being remodeled

The hotel is currently being renovated so it's a little rough around the edges, but the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The owner was on site and he and the staff were very friendly. We would be glad to stay there again especially knowing it is getting a complete overhaul. Even without the overhaul, it is a good, clean place to stay with great service.

Big disappointment

This hotel should NOT have been open during its renovation. Signs on the doors indicated new owners were remodeling. All the windows were covered in plastic, so we knew something was up but were not told exactly what. Pool was closed - huge disappointment for kids on the road 8 hours! As we left to check out, we opened the door to our room to find a huge cloud of dust in the hallway. Workers were scraping something off ceilings and walls - and wearing face masks and other protective gear! The elevator was too slow in coming and our young girls have asthma, so we raced to the stairwell. We couldn't get out of the hotel fast enough. What a disappointment. We usually love the Fairfield Inn & Suites - but not this one.
