centrally located near lots of attractions

Pros: Clean and comfortable and helpful staff.
Cons: A bit far from our venue. Could not easily find at night.
Location: Nice restaurants, and a mall as well as other shopping areas.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, safe, and comfortable surroundings. Good breakfast.

Non-smoing

I am not sure how we ended up having smoking rooms. I do not pick smoking rooms for my employees. This ended up being quite a problem. I am looking for a credit for one of the rooms as the crew could not stay at the hotel. Otherwise, the two rooms that were used were acceptable.

Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable (not worth the price, but nice enough).
Cons: The price is too high. The staff needs to be trained on how to not blame the guests immediately without evidence, and they need to learn respect.
Location: We love Lafayette.
The hotel itself wasn't bad at all. The staff was nice, for the most part. The one thing that will prevent me from going back to this hotel is the key card problem. When you check in, the front desk will tell you to not put the magnetic key card near your cell phone because it will mess up the key card. My wife and I made it a point to not put the key card near our phones or anything else that emitted an EM field of some kind. The next morning, my wife and I (with our 2 small kids) go to the car for something. We try to enter the building and both of our key cards do not work. We have to walk all the way around to the front of the building to enter through the main entrance to get new keys from the front desk. This is not the problem. It happens all the time. We didn't mind having to do this. We tell the lady at the front desk that both our keys didn't work. Her reply was "That's because you put the cards by your cell phones". I told her we did not put the cards buy our cell phones, in fact we made it a point not to. We the keys separately from everything else. Her next reply was "Oh well, you have new keys now, so it's not a problem any more". That response was meant to shew us away so she can go to the back and continue with her break. She immediately blamed us for misuse of the cards with no proof. Then when we corrected her, she didn't acknowledge our statements. We found that completely disrespectful. We will not be going back to this hotel

Closest hotel to Don's Meat Market
