For the amount paid each night this was very disappointing. Our beds were not even made on day - we did get clean towels so I know housekeeping came in. I expected it to be a nicer hotel.

Friendly staff but filthy rooms

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Pros: The lobby
Cons: Clean the rooms,
The staff was pleasant, the lobby was pretty, but our room was filthy. We couldn't take a shower due to the stains on the shower floor and walls. The sink faucets had dried toothpaste around them. The rug in the room had stains all over it. Due to the dirtiness of the room we had a hard time sleeping.

Expected better for the price

Posted Nov 6, 2017
Pros: The appearance of the lobby was very nice and the staff was friendly.
Cons: See above - rehab the gross showers!
Location: Great access to the campus.
The showers in the rooms were gross! It looks like there was mold in there before they put silicone on it - bottom edges as well as where it connects to the wall. We thought it was a fluke and check on getting another room. Despite being parents weekend at Purdue, they had another room and apologetically gave us a new room the next morning. To my surprise, that shower was just the same! Although it did have better water pressure, the water temperature was only warm. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and would not be recommended for any one with back issues. Disappointed.

Overpriced

Posted Nov 5, 2017
It was Purdue football weekend so that may be the cause of the price but it was too high. The carpet needs to be replaced and the restaurant was mediocre. We tried to walk to restaurants in the area and all were booked solid and all the stores on the area were closed.

Needs improvements

Posted Nov 3, 2017
The overall property at first glance looks impressive but after staying there found there is room for improvement. The room was showing some wear and age, the entry light switch also controlled the bedside lights and alarm clock so you couldn’t have anything on the bedside table without these glaring entry lights on also. The beds were very uncomfortable. They listed Fox as an available channel then when we went to watch the World Series it wasn’t available except in their bar? The restaurant wasn’t good we gave it two chances. We were just overall disappointed and it definitely wasn’t worth the two hundred plus dollars for the stay and experience. I would look elsewhere especially for the price.

Close to Purdue

Pros: Close to Purdue
Rooms starting to show wear. Time for a holiday Inn facelift. Several exterior windows have lost their insulating seal completely.

Shower in bathroom was moldy. Sheets were clean but they smell like bleach.

Close to Purdue

Posted Oct 8, 2017
Pros: Closeness to Purdue
Cons: Updating of the hotel
Location: A couple of great restaurants nearby. Bistro 501 and the newly opened Folie.
We have stayed at this hotel before and it was fine, but now feel it NEEDS updating. We know it is busy on the week-ends because of Purdue functions, HOWEVER start somewhere.

Nice hotel close to Purdue

Posted Sep 28, 2017
Pros: The staff was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a drink at the bar and then slept in the next morning with a noon check out.
Cons: There isn't a lot of parking
Location: It is close to Purdue. It isn't walking distance but a quick drive and you are there. Plus, great shopping in the other direction.
We have driven by this hotel many times but never stayed. I had to find a hotel last minute and it was the only nice looking hotel available so I booked it. I am so glad I did. We had a great night.
