Very nice hotel for the money!

Pros: Beautiful reception area Great fitness facilities Excellent room design
Cons: Make sure rooms are properly cleaned between guests
I don't stay in a lot of hotels, so I did a lot of research before I booked this one. It has a beautiful lobby/dining area. The fitness facilities are very nice for a hotel in this price range. The rooms are well designed, and allowed us to separate the bedroom from the living room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Lafayette, LA area. One caveat, however, our friends found bedbugs in their room. They had the last room in the hotel, so they could not be moved into another room. They had to go to another hotel. We had no such problem, however, and I would blame the previous occupants of the room before the hotel management.

With regard to your friend's room our exterminator did not find any evidence of bed bug activity and I contacted the guest to provide that information. Regardless I am so sorry that they left after arrival and regret any inconvenience.

Dirty Room

Dirty walls, dirty plates in the in room kitchen, stained furniture, super squeaky mattresses. It was gross and I was so disappointed since we'd never stayed at a Homewood Suites. Would not go back.

I needed some place close to a dinner I was having. This hotel was the closest to that location.

Well maintained, comfortable hotel.

Pros: Primarily our comfortable and good sized suite.
Cons: I found the Business Center a bit awkward. I'm a senior and I think the addition of a simple printer would help our generation.
Location: The hotel is at a busy junction and one has to be prepared to drive out to explore the sights in and around Lafayette.
We had a week's stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were helpful and we liked our spacious suite and the general ambiance. The included breakfasts were excellent. Lots of parking space - and a French patisserie next door!

Comfortable hotel

Booked room at last minute for 2 nights. When got to room was concerned because it was right across from elevators. However, there was no sound that bothered us during the night. Rooms and beds are comfortable- kitchen area is nice with nice plates and glasses.

Home Away From Home

My husband and I traveled by car from North Carolina to visit my family for the holidays and found this hotel a great choice for our time in the area. The suite was a perfect setup and comfortable. My husband loved having both a living room area and separate bedroom with two large televisions. The setup allowed us to both enjoy our favorite tv shows when we didn't want to watch the same channel (lol). The kitchen provided was extremely useful for carrying back leftovers we enjoyed with family, and the free breakfast provided each morning was a plus. We loved the location of the hotel: slightly secluded, while close to everything. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Comfortable and convenient

Couldn't have asked for more. The room was very nice. The breakfast was ample. The location was perfect.

Pros: felt homey
Cons: I wish there was a door on the bathroom sink part so I wouldn't have to wake up the family early in the morning.
Overall great experience. Enjoyed the room and the breakfast.
