Enjoyed our stay here very much :)

Posted Sep 1, 2016
Pros: Friendly staff and most accommodating !
Cons: Nothing really except a deal to returning clients ? hehehe...
Location: Great location ...just a short drive to a few different resturants and beaches
We will most definitely return because our stay here was most welcoming.

Colorful, welcoming guest house centrally located

Posted Jul 16, 2016
Pros: homey, warm, clean, respectful
Cons: linens
We loved our stay at Rio Arade. Without a car with which to get around, I think the location would make it hard to access the wonderful areas & beaches. We had a car and found it easy to move around the Algarve to Carvoeira and Ferragudo. Ana is a treasure--warm, helpful, and efficient. The rooms need some updating (linens, curtains, etc), but they are clean and private and the staff are terrific. The house really offered a perfect stay...we did not want to go!

Great B and B. Good host.

Overall very good. Stayed for 6 days. Breakfast uninspiring and unchanging No tea coffee available in room or public area. Lovely courtyard garden. The weather was poor during our stay and so the room felt cold and a bit damp. Staff were lovely

Delightful !

Posted Apr 25, 2016
Pros: Friendly and unhurried, clean, cosy and quirky.
Cons: Kettle in the room would be good.
Location: You ideally need a car but there are buses, walking distance to a couple of restaurants and bars with a small supermarket down the road.
Very very lovely ! Beautiful courtyard pool area. Our room was huge and very rustic and cosy but could do with a few slight changes to make it perfect. John and Anna looked after us and could not have been more helpful.

A nice, homely feel with friendly helpful staff

Posted Apr 19, 2016
Pros: The relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Dogs barking at all hours were noticeable
Location: It is near beaches and good restaurants. Be careful to book at the Village Inn as if you don't you will be told that you have to wait longer!
A nice, homely feel with friendly helpful staff. The owner was always available with helpful tips about where to go, what to see and where to eat - a good dry sense of humour helped

Wonderful atmosphere in a quaint village

Posted Oct 23, 2015
Pros: Everything but mostly the smallness and hominess of the place. Also we were trusted completely and made ourselves at home.
Cons: Nothing
Location: We found many areas to visit near. The Village Inn was superb as was the local Potuguese restaurant run by another Carlos.
We loved our stay here. Carlos was so accommodating! He even picked us up and showed us around when we arrived in Lagoa. John was helpful in telling us places to walk. The 2 restaurants Carlos recommended were excellent and reasonably priced. Would love to come back now that we know the area.

Carlos was so nice and helpful! He definitely made our stay. It's a very charming, quaint place to stay for the evening. We loved breakfast on the terrace. Excellent restaurant within walking distance. We will definitely be back for another visit! Extremely clean and well maintained property.

Great value for money B & B stay

Lovely traditional Portuguese manor house, very nice friendly owners make you feel like your guests in their home, nice selection for breakfast which you can take inside or out on the terrace, lovely garden & pool area (only a small pool but lovely for a quick cool off dip) I can not remember the last time I came across an honesty bar in a hotel!!! Just help yourself to whatever hot or cold drinks you like & record it on your own sheet, how nice to see that the owners can trust the guests in this way Will most definitely be returning again
