Do not stay here unless desperate.

Would not recommend staying at this hotel to anyone. The rooms were hot and everything was damp from humidity. It was only when we packed to leave we found the dehumidifier on the floor. Our closet smelt like rotten fish so then put clothes also did from the smell and the damp. The bathroom leaked all the way to the bedroom. She sheets covered in stains. My pillows had a mans cologne along with black dirt marks showing they were not clean and also leftover hairs. The Internet was not strong enough to watch a show. TheTV had 2 working movie/English channels third was fuzzy. The bathroom was old and filthy, the towels rough and off white. They do provide bottles of water and toiletries. Shame as the hotel grounds are ok. We had a second room for our colleague who had a flood or large leak so he had to be moved. The gym is not in the hotel and I didn't not feel safe when I stepped outside alone as a woman to walk to find it. Lucky as the front desk had given me the wrong directions. Breakfast however was nice and the pool and restaurants but the rooms really need an overhaul

Small, dark and damp rooms

Rooms were horrible! No natural ventilation and the walls were damp. There was a stagnant water smell everywhere. There was water on the floor in our room coming from somewhere we couldn't figure out. Service was terrible as two hours into reporting this still no one came up. We were glad to be checking out after one night. Would definitely not be going back or recommending the his hotel as a place to stay overnight to anyone!

Gated, small hotel - comfortable, nothing fancy

Pros: Breakfast buffet
Cons: Staff members were efficient in doing their jobs, but I felt sometimes like I was doing them a favour by staying at the hotel.
Location: There's a little supermarket next door and nice restaurants on the same street, including Nigerian, Italian and Chinese. But not much else in the area
Room included a great breakfast buffet, with a wide selection of items. Quiet and clean room, comfortable bed, A/C in working condition, good hot water pressure. Power cuts are routine in Nigeria, but the hotel's generator minimized disturbances. Be sure to request a non-smoking room, as mine had a smokey odour that lingered during my stay.

Short stay at Blowfish hotel

A nice hideaway in the middle of Victoria Island.. The staff were excellent and the room was comfortable and nice.. Fit for purpose.. this hostel is just right for a view nights in Lagos as it is central to everywhere in Lagos Island and close to the business hub.

Great hotel!

I really love the blowfish hotel. It's a cute boutique hotel in the middle of Victoria island and near everything. The hotel is in great condition and the staff were all very kind and accommodating to my needs. A very special bracelet of mine actually fell down the elevator shaft and they retrieved it for me. For that, I will always be thankful. The rooms were great- with beautiful, modern furnishings. The pool was clean and open late and the food and drinks were excellent. Some of the best (and most creative cocktails) I've had in Nigeria. I will definitely stay at the Blowfish on my next trip to Lagos.

Don't think I will ever go back, the water in the bathroom was brown had a foul smell albeit the fact that I complained about it, nothing was done about it. Really terrible services and not worth the money

Decent Hotel but Client Service needs improvement

I wasn't impressed with he quality of service at the front desk. After a mix up with my reservation between Hotels.com and The blowfish hotel, the staff at the front desk wasn't helpful in trying to retrieve my booking details even though I had showed the person my booking confirmation on hotels.com and that the room had been paid for. The person didn't even look interested and wasn't in the slightest bit helpful. I was at the front desk for over an hour trying to sort out my booking. Other than that, the hotel is nice and is in a very good location. Room was clean and tidy. I will probably use the hotel again.
