Remodeled, clean and near beach

Comfortable beds and clean rooms. There is a $25 fee for the parking garage...I am assuming that is per day, but we only stayed one night. They charge an extra $50 on the card for incidentals, then refund it..but you know it takes longer for a refund to appear, so we will have to make sure it actually gets refunded. Usually a card number is 'on file' for incidentals, then only used if they need to charge, so actually charging was out of the ordinary for our many hotel experiences.

Wonderful hotel with excellent staff

We stayed at this particular Double Tree during the Ohana music festival, which was just across the street from the hotel. Obviously, this meant that the hotel was full to capacity. However, not once during my stay did I feel crowded, rushed, or for that matter delayed in any way. The staff was excellent in making sure your hotel experience was good one. From the front desk to the cleaning staff to the valet service, everyone was friendly & helpful.

Nice Place for a few Days

Pros: location
Cons: overall deep cleaning
Location: beach,shopping,food
needed a place to get away from Hurricane Irma. This was the perfect location to continue working and bring my family.

Facility's shortcomings

Last minute stay, was just perfect.

Place was clean and easy to get to. Staff was as cool as could be asked and made check in quick and easy, which I really needed at that moment. Place was quiet and the room was fairy nice. Clean facility from all of the places and facilities I encountered. The check in personnel was very pleasant.

Sam the valet stoped me as I was parking my car in the self park, asked me what I was doing then said it's private property an demanded me to give my room an an my booking info an said that I could leave if I had a problem with it. This happened all before I even checked in. Also was told by the morning guy (Scott) I wasn't able to get a cookie apone check out. I couldn't even pay for one because of some issues in the kitchen. I stay once every two weeks only here

Uneven service

Pros: Certain staff members were lovely. Room was spacious and well-stocked.
Cons: PASS OUT MAPS OF THE AREA THAT SHOW BEACH ACCESS. It's really dangerous not to.
Location: The beach is walkable, although get good directions for getting there and back. The part of the beach that has life guard and food would be tough.
Some of the hotel staff, and the valet parking staff were wonderful. Other staff members seemed to be clueless. They didn't pass out directions to the beach at the front desk and they should have. Sidewalks aren't available on all sides of the street and the hotel is in the middle of freeway ramps front and back. And if you go what seems the logical way, you actually have to walk on the freeway ramp to get to the hotel. Maps should be mandatory. My last morning I went up to the top floor which appeared to have wonderful views of the ocean, and neither of them was open, even though it was 8:30AM and they were due to be open by 8:00AM. I let the front desk know, and they called maitenance. But when I checked again before I had to go -- they still weren't open. All that being said, the room was clean and spacious, and as I said, some of the staff was lovely.

Not on par with other doubletrees

Front desk service ridiculously slow and not all that friendly. Rest of staff super nice. Room was clean and comfortable. They had a fire in the restaurant/bar a few days before our stay and was not notified which really sucked.
