We arrived around 2 pm and our rooms were not ready which was totally fine. We did not expect them to be. BUT they weren't ready until 5, so we just went to dinner. The rooms: I booked one on Expedia and one straight through hotel. Prior to booking, the first one I clicked to book was a king & queen mini suite with a balcony and ocean view. However, once it processed, I was given 2 queens with a balcony and ocean view. I thought, well maybe I did something wrong.
I went to make a 2nd reservation and Expedias price went way up so I went straight to hotel's site. I reserved an ocean view with 2 queens. Once processed , I received a message that it was 2 doubles. I tried to tell the front desk guy, but really there was nothing he could do and really nothing I can prove. That said, the beds were comfortable. As far as the "views," DO NOT trust the photos on the sites. There is only a view if you go out the front door. The "balcony" is not a private one, and is a view out the front door. The decor... they have tried to update. It's cute, but omg, the nightstand is so tiny, you can't put anything on it since it's taken over by the phone, lamp and clock. The USB on the clock didn't work & my phone died. The bathroom. Yuck! The tile, shower, etc. was decrepit. My sheets were "sandy."
The other room was above the lobby with a view of a roof and a lil ocean and was like a Motel 6. Id stay elsewhere. As with other responses from management, Im sure they will just say, "sorry."
