This is ground floor unit Konea 112 at Honua Kai. Currently, new bookings in my units through VRBO come with my book in confidence COVID guarantee. My book in confidence COVID guarantee is exclusive to my units and provides assurance in the form of a travel credit if your travel is interrupted by a positive COVID test, a COVID test result delay, a Honua Kai pool closure, or further Maui travel restrictions making bypassing the HI quarantine impossible. Stay more safe. This is unit is ground floor with added easy in/out from the lanai (keyed). No need to walk through the hotel hallways / corridors, or use an elevator to a higher floor location. Our unit also features its own dedicated ventilation and AC system and air is NOT circulated/shared with other units and common places.

Latest Updates: Travelers to Hawaii can bypass the mandatory quarantine by (1) after July 8th, 2021 showing proof of being fully vaccinated in the United States or (2) with a negative COVID test from a test taken inside the 72 hours period prior to leaving on your departure flight to the islands. All travelers 5 years and older must meet one of these two requirements. Children under age 5 are exempt from this requirement. These rules are subject to change at any time and put in place by HI state and Maui county.

Current Maui / Honua Kai status: All pools / hot tubs are open at the resort. The beach is open. Dukes Restaurant is open for dine in and take-out and has live entertainment 6:00pm-8:30pm, daily. Whalers store is open 8 hours per day. Aina cafe is open daily until 2 PM. The gym is open: Hours: 6 AM to 6 PM, 8 guests at a time, 60 min limit, mask required, first come first serve. Bell / Valet is currently not operating and you must self move luggage to the unit. Times supermarket across the street is open for groceries, many on island excursions are open with reduced capacity, and many nearby restaurants are open.

In addition to the ground floor central location of this unit, booking this unit has many in room and resort advantages:

1) This unit features a queen plus (66x80) size comfort sleeper living room sofa bed with a solid platform and no springs. It is more comfortable, longer, and wider than the standard Honua Kai sofa bed.

2) This unit is signed up for the towel tracker program. Pickup clean towels at anytime at 4 convenient locations around the resort and drop off when done.

3) This unit features many owner upgrades throughout such as: beautiful wood tile flooring, keyed lanai door, a 65" 4k wall mounted living room smart TV, Amazon Echo with Spotify music, a vitamix blender, upgraded shower heads, iHome alarm clocks, bathroom dryer towel rack, bathroom stools, and many other owner supplied goodies for your use such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, boogie boards, beach towels, a pack n play with a 3" thick mattress, bed bumpers, strap on booster seat, etc.

ABOUT THIS CONDO. This is a 915 sq. ft. (plus 300 sq. ft. Lanai/Garden) GROUND FLOOR two (2) bedroom condominium in the Honua Kai Konea Tower.

Only the Ground Floor units at Honua Kai offer tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. The lanai opens up to lush lawns & walkways with views of the mountain and resort and it has a private relaxing Koi pond off the lanai. My unit is conveniently located in the middle of the resort, within just a few steps to the Konea interior court yard or a quick close 1-2 minute walk to the resort pools and hot tubs. Our room is also close to the fitness center.

This unit features a King Bed in the Master, Queen Bed in the Den converted to bedroom, and a Queen Plus size sofa sleeper in the living, and is perfect for up to 6. Each bedroom and living have their own HD flat screen TV's and cable. The living includes a Blu-Ray DVD, plus the TV supports Amazon Prime, and Netflix. Fiber 300 MB Wireless AC Internet is also included free of charge.

I wish I could give "communication with property manager" 6 Stars!
Brandon made every effort to make this trip amazing for me and my family, 5 stars all the way. before we even left he was there to help. At the last minute we needed to schedule a rental item for the trip to be delivered to the resort, I had CC'd Brandon for awareness and he imediately stepped in to give guidence and onsite contact information so that things would be inplace when we arrived. Monty followed up and made sure we had every thing we needed and expected. The unit was fantastic, we really enjoyed the lanai, it was great for family meals, and relaxation. The unit was well appointed, well stocked and sooooo nice...I wish we were still there. The beds were comfy and we could have stayed in them all day! I would totaly recommend Duke's. On Brandon's guidence and recomendation, we managed to get a "walk in" seating right at sun set, it was one of the highlights of our trips. Thank you Brandon and Monty for taking such good care of us!

Thought of Everything for Paradise!
The pictures let you know the place is perfect but the reality is even better!! Everything you need to go to the beach for the day and a well thought out kitchen to make a dinner on the lanai! Great to stay on the ground floor and no waiting for elevators etc and to read or relax surrounded by a garden setting!! The market is right down the hall for a fresh coffee in the morning if you have family who need tricky coffee drinks first thing!! This place is the best way to get your slice of paradise for a reasonable price!

Amazing location!
Search no farther! This is it! The yard is absolutely perfect if you have a little ones because it keeps them in one spot. It’s very easy to slip in and out of going to and from the pool. You don’t really have neighbors to either side of you. Also you don’t have to wait in any long lines to go up the elevators you just get to sleep right to your room. There’s a big waterfall that you hear right when you open your lanai door every morning to drink your coffee and in the evening when you have a beer. Don’t hesitate renting this location for you and your family. There will be great Communication the whole way through.
