The view from our room was amazing and the beach and pools were nice. Room layout was odd with the bathroom sink area combined with a mini kitchen and the closet. The main restaurant was very good, but there were no other dining options except a small ice cream shop ( which was good). It did have a few sandwich options too. The overall decor seemed dated . We felt they were adding on extra fees for everything/ daily self parking was $30 per day and a resort fee of $40 per day which included “ amenities “ like free water, coffee maker in room and old postcards in the gift shop! Wow! They were also super strict about beach towels. The beach/ pool shack had nice options, but outrageously expensive. Some hotels let you use snorkels, boogie boards, etc. for free. Overall, the staff was nice(especially in the restaurant)but our first impression was a very unfriendly woman at check in. I expected more and better customer service. We liked that this hotel was located in a little quieter area than the other big hotels, but was easily accessible by car or walking to the area by Black Rock. It would be better to just make the overall price a little higher and then offer complimentary parking, beach toys, etc…Makes it feel less like nickel and diming you for everything.
