Pamakanya may be one of the best places on earth! We spent a month hiking, kayaking, swimming, visiting local markets, wandering through villages, eating local produce and just plain relaxing. Pamakanya is ideally located. It is an easy walk to the tiny village of Jaibalito where we were thrilled ...
Had a nice stay. Good view of the lake and volcanoes. Short walk to Santander street where most of restaurants and shops are located. Really liked the cool, crisp sheets...forgot to ask if we can buy them. Shower came out decent switching back and forth between hot and cold...well, it seems common ...
This hotel is off the beaten path. It is two villages south of Panahachel, so don’t underestimate the travel time. But once you are there, you are well cared for. The hotel is owned and run by Don Richard, an American who has lived in Guatemala for 30 years. His advice and assistance are priceless, ...
You can’t beat the view from this grea hotel. Friendly staff, delicious made to order breakfast. San Pedro and San Juan just a ten minute walk on either side. Best to enter from their dock out front to save walking from the towns docks. Did the coffee tour arranged from the hotel, great!
Great hotel , close to cultural towns ... Great staff
Family simply loved the home and all it had to offer. The online pictures of the home do not do it justice. Property location and layout are unbelievable. Home is kept very clean and the staff offered by the property were very attentive and contributed to a wonderful stay!!! Thank you
While the proximity to the lakeshore, shopping and restaurants and shopping is good, Casa Texel Panajachel is marketed as a much better hotel than it really is. This is a two star hotel plain and simple and overpriced for what you get. Overall, I was very dissatisfied.
I really like the hotel, it was amazing hotel staff and they helped us at our stay! i really recommended it
Hotel seems it's several years without maintenance, cleaning is also an issue. The hotel location in the map is not exact, it actually needs to ride a boat from San Antonio Palopo to the hotel; which does not have a 24hrs boat service so you might be unassisted in case of emergency. Breakfast, which ...
This hotel is close to the lake and restaurants. Staff was great.
A very beautiful place to relax and enjoy boat trip to close towns. Local handcrafted products to fall in love with. Very nice place.
The hotel staff were fabulous! The rooms were spacious and clean, just a bit stuffy since there is not much ventilations (which just seems like a Guatemalan building issue).
We were told we needed to contact the hotel in advance for details on how to access the apartment. It was an apartment/condo that was being rented, not a hotel room. We called and called - no answer. There was no email to send a message to. We finally ended up using Facebook messenger to contact ...
The hotel has a beautiful view of the San Pedro volcano....the food was excellent... and the tour guy they appointed us was very knowledgeable of the town history
The pictures was posted in another time and situation of the hotel. Your driving skills just to get there have to be 9 of 10, Infrastructure was completly in abandond, the pool is no clean as you ser on the picture.
A classic hotel with traditional Guatemala design. Probably your best option in Panajachel. Its located right on the lake but outtside of the town. You would need a car or taxi to go to town or a 30 min. walk on a dusty road and a part on the main road as there is no side walk. At night that would ...
Close to the lake and súper confortable and with excellent staff
Really nice hotel with breathtaking views. The staff is very nice, the rooms are very cozy, and the food was very tasty. I definitely recommend staying here.
