We loved our stay at this hotel. It is old but in had a great view of the lake and castle. We would definitely come back and stay here. The staff was great and very helpful.

Lake Bled
Location is perfect but starting to look dated a little bit Fawlty Towers!! Staff are brilliant and very attentive and great at communicating. Bled itself is awesome and we would happily return. Lack of a bar is a shame but no shortage in town

Our stay was very disappointing. The rooms are very outdated and in need of Renovation and general upkeep. The verandah door was broken, hanging off it’s hinges, and very dangerous. You could tell it have been like that for a long time, as it had done serious damage to the wall. In addition to this, the hotel had run out of towels, with the excuse that the towels had not come back from the cleaner and they didn’t know when they would, so we had to use 3 hand towels in the bathroom for everything. When sharing with checkout the door and towel situation, they mentioned they would have gone over the road and got us towels from one of the 5 other properties Sava own in Lake Bled town!!! Breakfast was substantial, the view was nice, but go there will low expectations on facilities and staff.

Dont stay here. Great view of the lake but thats all you can say. 60's decor, no air con and if you open the window/door you are likely to have bugs in the room like we did. I could go on. Staff were helpful and tried there best but they agreed that they were fighting a losing battle in a deteriating hotel. It is due for renovation in 2021 which is about 10 years too late. We got moved to a sister hotel Savica which was much cleaner although didnt have the views of the lake

Amazing lake views and close to everything. Breakfast was good. Meats, cheese, eggs, sausages, yoghurts, fruit. Have read some reviews saying breakfast not good here but I found it had something for everyone. Definitely recommend paying extra for lake view which is the reason we chose this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Amazing staff. Great location but a bit noisy at times from traffic. Loved the balcony facing the lake. Room was not always 100% cleaned but that can be addressed. Would recommend overall.

Average hotel with slightly old setting. The hotel might have its age. But the location for lake view is great. Awesome stay with such view. Although its only a night stay. Felt very relaxed in the area. Bed was ok, not as expected.

Don’t miss the view!
Gorgeous view of the castle across the lake, especially at night. Worth it to book lake view balcony room! Breakfast buffet was not special but hotel was lovely.

Perfect location and views!
This was an amazing location - with the best view in town. We got a room on the top floor and the view of the lake and Castle - especially at night with everything lit up was spectacular. The service was great, the room was large and had everything we needed. For our 10 days in Europe - this was our favorite hotel experience! The restaurant right next door was amazing with great customer service and unforgettable food. What a great overall experience in Bled!

Real traditional style hotel with magnificent view
It was very pleasant stay. The hotel has got a Charm of traditional and old style, which modern hotels have lost. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My room had a fantastic view of the lake from a large balcony, where I had very chill time watching morning sun or sun set.

A BIT DISAPPOINTING
The hotel receptionist on our first day insisted we did not have a balcony. On checking later – when I had network – I went back and said we did. Unfortunately, she said she was unable to give another room as they were all full and given it was 2030 on our first day, we said we would take it up later. She said she would leave a message for someone else to contact us the following day. Nobody did. But I attended my brother’s wedding later that day so was out from 1500 - 2100 hrs. On leaving the hotel, a different lady told me she had our “complaint” via Expedia as I had mailed. She said we should have discussed with the hotel so I advised her of the conversation we had at reception on our first day. Also, you should be aware that the shower in our room was largely unusable as there was an angled piece of wood that made it difficult for anyone under 5ft tall to stand under it. In addition, my parents who are in their 70s were in the same hotel. The baths are really deep so you should be aware that both of them had difficulty getting in and out. So apart from the elderly, I would argue this is not the best place for people with limited mobility. My wife said she had seen some adverse comments re breakfast but we found it OK. If you want a full English, this is not the place but there is cereal, bread, etc. On TV, there were 4 working channels and we were restricted to Murder She Wrote The general gist will be OK, needs some work, some but not all staff are helpful.

The cheap rooms are up on the top floor, this is obviously where they put hotels.com people. The room had twin beds arranged head to head and they could not be moved, the bathroom had a shower that was almost unusable due to the wall sloping in and the shower curtain being the other end of the bath from the shower head...that made no sense! Air conditioning was a fan. Breakfast was ok but not brilliant and they soon run out of things so best to be down at 7am when the breakfast room opens. In its day it was probably stunning but now very run down.

Average stay. Best part was the view and the great staff. Room smelled a bit like cigarette smoke. A fan was provided and was sufficient as there is no air conditioning. Breakfast was average. Easy parking. Beautiful area, wish I could have stayed longer.

The whole place looks like it is straight out of the intro short film to the Tower of Terror ride in Disney. Bed was so uncomfortable, and there was dust and debris all under the bed and on the edges of the carpet. I did not even want to take a shower. They upgraded me to a lake view room, but it did not make up for the condition of the stay. Wish I could get my money back.

Stayed one night on honeymoon to visit Lake Bled. Upside: Superb view, friendly staff, good location, great spa across the road. Downsides: place is dated and needs some renovation, some breakfast food was not very good quality.

The check in experience was smooth. But when we entered the room, I was so disappointed. Dull lighting, small room, hair in the bath tub, bathroom wasn’t clean. Only good things were the view and the bed. Even breakfast was disappointing. The plates weren’t even adequately clean. Items kept running out but there was no staff to refill. Avoid!

Location, location, location.
This hotel has an excellent location with rooms with balcony's overlooking the lake. Rooms on the backside are incredibly cramped and undesirable. You get what you pay for here, unfortunately it's not as nice as it should be for the price. A bit rundown and in need of serious updating, it does put you up front on the gorgeous lake scenery where you'll want to spend time, not in the hotel. Nevertheless, the accommodating desk staff does its best to make you feel welcome.

Beautiful view over the lake. You can see the church and castle. Our stay was nice but just be aware: While there was a fridge in the room there was no way to make coffee or tea (however both were available at the free breakfast from 7-10) We travelled with dogs and the hotel was accommodating to us, however the dog fee was very high compared to what we have experienced in the rest of Europe and in other hotels in the Lake Bled area. There is no A.C. in the hotel but a table top fan and an open balcony door kept the room from getting too hot.

Stayed here one night. Although the hotel is in need of renovation it was clean and comfortable. The staff were so helpful with directions and advice. Breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Don't go tho this hotel. We booked for 5 nights and left after one night. The hotel is old and run down. Our room (5th floor) was not small, but run down as well. It faced the beautiful view of tBled's lake and castle, but the window was small and rather high, so the view was seen only standing up by the window. The bathroom was large, but arranged in an unreasonable way. To take a shower, one had to stand in the bath which was rather narrow. The worst thing was that the bath was right under a slanted roof, with the slant starting at hip height. As a result, there was no room for the head and shoulders!! Rediculous! Breakfast was ok, but not in par with breakfast in other places. There is no pool, or anything else to do in the hotel. Not worth the money.
