It was a lovely and friendly hotel. Comfortable and clean. The only downside was the breakfast was very expensive and an extra and wasn't very good. Otherwise it was a fabulous stay.

Old World Charm

Basic French old world hotel. Spa was ok. Decoration is very dated but consistent throughout the hotel. Bed was comfortable and the room was nice and cool.

Maybe had its day, but no longer

Sadly, the service at Le Manoir was cold and indifferent. Most upsetting though, they claim they have a functional spa (our primary reason for booking after two days of hiking in the mountains) when they really have nothing more than a swimming pool. The jacuzzi is empty, and more than half the jets in the pool they say are there to replace the jacuzzi are not working. Eight people arrived at the "spa" on Sunday afternoon to discover they'd turned off the hamman, the sauna, and the jets in the pool. I called reception but got no answer, and when we finally found someone to ask, she told us they close the services at 12 noon, even though the day before they'd said the spa would be available free of charge over the entire weekend. Then she said I could pay to have the hammam switched on, and when I told her she'd promised in advance they'd be "offert" and working over the weekend, she finally turned on the hammam. This in addition to offering no products and no spa services, even while advertising massages.

Swimming Pool

Breakfast not included

It was a bit chocking to pay 14 euros per person for a breakfast that included very few option except from mandatory bread and butter. If I had known, I would have drunk my tea somewhere else for 1 euro...

Hotel Le Manoir Aix Les Bains France

Over ok for a night's stay while traveling, with interesting lobby decor and a great garden sitting area. The July night temperature was 85*F/28*C and because the hotel was not air conditioned, we slept with the window open-- a poor nights sleep due to road noise and a bright street light outside. Did not try breakfast or restaurant due to very high price: $45 USD for 2 for breakfast is crazy, especially since the hotel is a 5 minute walk from a dozen bakeries and cafes. Village is charming: if you come in summer, plan on attending open air concert almost every night- a magical experience.

Le Manoir in Aix les Bains

Very average hotel, staff didn't have my reservation until I produced paperwork! Staff were uninterested and dismissive in their general attitude. To be honest, I'd look around before booking this! Cheers.

Hotel fermé

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à la réception, nous avons eu la bonne surprise d'apprendre que l'hotel était fermé pour olusieurs mois pour des raisons de travaux. Merci Hotels.com. Apres 30 minutes de discussion pour comprendre d'où venait le problème, nous avons bien été relogés dans un hotel voisin, de qualité bien inférieure mais avec certes une chambre plus grande (1 lit double + 3 lits simples) ce qui ne présente aucun intérêt lorsque l'on est en couple, les petits déjeuner ont été comptés en extra. On se pose la question de la fiabilité des offres proposées sur le site internet.
