Average 3* hotel, basic rooms

Posted Oct 25, 2016
Location: Ferries across Lake Como to other towns such as Menaggio and Varenna. Lovely restaurants and walks around Bellagio itself.
The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing and the lakeside views are stunning. The breakfast is as expected for a 3* hotel, but stops promptly at 9.30am even on weekends. The rooms are very basic, not overly welcoming and it is not possible to control the temperature of your own room. Signs on the temperature controller in the rooms said to contact reception, something I have never seen in a hotel before and wouldn't expect in a 3* hotel. This has to be done by contacting reception each time you want the room cooler or more importantly in my case, warmer. Even then, it all seemed too difficult for the staff which was disappointing.

Worth the extra $$ for a room with a view!

Pros: Location!
Cons: Breakfast buffet was mediocre and the coffee was terrible.
Location: Shops, restaurants, bars, ferries, docks.
Great location --right in the heart of center Bellagio. The breakfast buffet was lackluster.

Good location

Well situated to ferry terminal and downtown core. Can be a little bit noisy if there are late night folks partying do town.

In centre of Bellagio

Pros: Location
Cons: Wifi is very slow but think that is local internet connection rather than hotel as every place seemed to have slow wifi
Nice hotel, basic standard of accomadation and expensive for standard but that is to be expected somewhere like Bellagio

Great location but definitely a 3star experience

Posted Aug 6, 2016
Right in front of ferry station and within reasonable walk to all things in Bellagio. A few rooms on floor 1 have balconies which was a nice surprise. Bathrooms are very small and basic; towels are cheap. One day our maid did not replace used/dirty drinking glasses. Internet did not work for the duration of our stay - hotel service only has a limited number of logins and they had given 4+ to some guests leaving 0 for new arrivers. They didn't seem to care and were in no way sympathetic that we were unable to easily check mail or search local restaurants and activities. If you're simply looking for a Lake Como crash pad for a couple days, this is a decent place to stay. If you are staying longer, choose somewhere more comfortable.

Noisy hotel

Lots of people drinking and dancing till 2am. Great for younger couples but after a 20 hour plane ride, wanted to sleep.

Scintillating position and village.

Pros: The aspect overlooking the lake, the cleanliness, and the competent friendly staff.
Cons: Indicate the night before if those having breakfast wished to have any thing cooked, rather than operate a "1st come 1st served" basis.
Location: Beautiful village to explore. Excellent ferry service provides access to other places on the lake, to house & gardens at Carlotta's ,and Barbanello.
The aspect of the hotel is superb, overlooking the lake. It is handy for ferries, places to eat and walks along the lakeside. Bellagio is a beautiful, clean village to explore, and the hotel is similarly clean, well kept and maintained, with good food, providing an excellent base to stay. Staff are very helpful and friendly, and assisted with their knowledge of places to visit and times and costs.

Real small room

Posted Sep 24, 2015
Hotel rooms we're smaller that I"m used to even for Europe. The hotel was a Lyle further than I thought from town center but still with in walking distance. Parking is the highlight of this hotel for it is easy to drive into their safe parking lot and check in. Wouldn't stay here if I didn't have a car.

nice hotel close to everything.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: location was perfect. pool was great after a hot day sight seeing ( and shopping)
Cons: Bar fridge and tea/coffee facility in room - plenty of room to do this.
Location: everything handy. easy walk to ferry for traveling around the lake. plenty of lovely gardens and villas to visit along with little villages.
My wife and I stayed 13 nights in July 2015. Very nice hotel close to everything. Pool made a big difference after a day out and about. Really needed a bar fidge in room however. Can get ice bucket from reception which was OK. would stay there again. staff very friendly and helpful. Had a great time.
