Beautiful country feelingPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Peaceful and great location
Cons: Breakfast would be nice
Location: Walk around the beautiful town. The local people were lovely. Take in THE VIEW!
Great courtyard with beautiful greenery. Sat in the garden and shared a wonderful bottle of wine and delicious local cheese. The first snow had fallen in the mountains across the lake. What a view!

A wonderful place in a great locationPosted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Everything - clean, had all the accommodation we needed, quiet, easy access to everywhere in Bellagio.
Location: Walks to both the east and west side of Bellagio through lovely little villages and places of interest. Catch a ferry to the other side of the lake.
La Limonera is a lovely villa split into apartments we had one on the ground floor with our own outdoor space with a table and chairs. It is right within the heart of the town of Bellagio, everything is close by but it feels very peaceful and quiet. It was so easy to get around and we felt as if we were drinking in the culture and ambience of the place. There is a small shop right next door and every day we purchased croissants and orange juice for our breakfast. It was all so easy and relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend not only Bellagio but La Limonera as a place to stay. A truly memorable time.

Easy to stay inPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: It felt like home. It also has an elevator for the upper floors.
Cons: An extra armchair and room safe would be useful.
Location: Bellagio is a wonderful base to visit the lake. We discovered a beautiful little beach about 15 mins walk past Villa Melzi with a beach side cafe.
Everything was easy about our stay. Room was ready before check in, keys were left for us, room was airy, clean, pretty, all amenities easy to use, incl. wifi. Daniella was lovely. there were plenty of options to eat in- room, courtyard, terrace etc. with fruit shop, bakery etc all nearby & fabulous lawn for children & excellent security with property locked at night. We didn't have a map so it was a bit difficult to find going up lots of stairs with luggage but later we realised the main road loops around the back for easier access.

Right in the heart of BellagioPosted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: The location was great. Lots of different ways down to the lake with laneways to explore on the way. The unit was airy and light.
Cons: We had ground floor and the noise from the side laneway was loud & annoying at times - it becomes a childrens play area in the afternoon and evening
Location: The ferries leave from the bottom of the hill - just down the one of the stepped laneways. The nearby towns are all worth a visit as is Como.
Wonderful location - a little hard to find as it is in the shopping area above the lake. There is parking at the front for offloading luggage and our key had been left at the office for us. Parking in the street after unpacking a bit of a hassle and it is pay and display, but we were lucky enough later in the evening to find a parking spot on the street not far away that was free of charge. Our car stayed there for the term of our stay. Large comfortable unit with kitchen facilities. The front gates are locked at night (guests have key access) for security. Bellagio is a wonderful base for Lake Como, we loved it and would return again in a moment. There is a very convenient cafe to the left of the gates on the way out of the apartments - coffee and pastry were lovely the first morning for breakfast, but I am afraid the prices for tourists and the prices for locals are worlds apart. We found the waterfront eaterys cheaper and more enjoyable.

Bello, pulito e accogliente in pieno centroPosted Dec 10, 2014

Great VisitPosted Nov 1, 2014 on Hotels
Our studio was roomy and very comfortable. Full kitchen w/utensils, dishes, etc. and a dining area. And at the end of season rate, a bargain. Location was excellent. Daniela, the property manager, was very helpful in recommending restaurants and in answering question. Bellagio an excellent location to stay on Lake Como.
