Such a boring location

Posted Nov 6, 2016 on Hotels
Don't stay here unless you are older than 60. This is a nice hotel, however the location makes me never to want to go back. Definitely for the elderly crowd. It's over priced for it's location.

A slice of heaven

A lovely welcome with a personal touch. Beautiful hotel where I felt transported back in time to an era of luxury and style. Stunning location with fabulous views of the lake. Great pool plus opportunities to swim in lake. Excellent service. Would highly recommend. So easy to travel by boat around the lake and hop from one lakeside town to another. Nice restaurants a 1 minute walk away. One of the few hotels I would return to.

Hotel staff was helpful, breakfast was good, BUT order egg half hour before you want them seemed to be a long wait, pool terrace gardens beautiful and clean, drinks very expensive half the price two minutes up the walkway, you are charged 14 Euro's park per day which isn't explained upon booking. Although the hotel is a kittle tired we would still return due to location, amazing views of the lake

Beautiful historic hotel kept in the classic style

Posted Oct 2, 2016 on Hotels
Place is beautiful! Very happy they were able to accommodate us for an additional night stay even though their website said they were booked out. Very convenient to the ferry; just outside the door. Great breakfast buffet. Within walking distance, if you can walk for a mile and do it uphill, to the charming historic old town and the must see Il Vittoriale.

Excellent position

Pros: Massimo, Head Waiter in Winnie's Bar and Terrace he makes your holiday special, great personality
Cons: Room service menu
Location: Best location on the Lake, a cocktail on the terrace at sunset, a visit to Old Town by small train for a nice lunch and lovely daily boat trips
We have been staying at the Grand over the last 10 years and love its location. The jetty for the boat trips immediately outside Hotel to visit other beautiful towns around the Lake. Lunch on a terrace overlooking the Lake everywhere you go.

Beautiful property some area needs update.

Hotel located in beautiful area with gorgeous view. Hotel garden is beautiful too but the long walk to our room was inconvenient with luggage handling. Spa was very outdated. We stayed in Junior suit, it was decent size. Bathroom was large but a little outdated.

Grand and right on the lake. Ferry stops outside so easy to access the other parts of the lake. Superb.

Another lovely stay for the opera

Pros: The lake views and well maintained grounds.
If you want to stay on the lake and dont mind a drive of just over an hour to Verona then this hotel is a good choice. Great views and frienly staff.
