Desk chair was unusable.

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: The pool and restaurants.
Cons: Update carpets. And check rooms more carefully.
Location: Location is great.
Desk chair had no padding. When sitting you sat right on the upright poking up into the seat. Found ladies personal products in the chair. Carpeting old in hallways and main areas. I felt like perhaps they give the less than desirable rooms to those that use booking services staff was very good. Polite and helpful.

I want to say thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am so happy that you enjoyed the location of the resort and got a chance to enjoy the pool and restaurants too. I am very sorry for the condition of the chair in your room. I am sharing this with my team, so we can use this as a training experience to make sure that we get items like this replaced in a timely manner. I really appreciate the feedback and it does make a difference. I do hope you are able to come back and visit us again sometime. Regards, Steve Magnuson General Manager

Overpriced

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Pros: We enjoyed the patio and fire pit.
Cons: be upfront about your "campus fee" Seemed to be fine print on Expedia Also add a sheet to the bed, all that was there was a comforter.
Room could have been at any cheap hotel chain. Very small and very overpriced. The chop house restaurant was loud, the menu expensive and ala carte. So you spend $50 on a steak and have to pay more for vegetables /sides. sheesh!! To be fair the food was very good.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am so sorry there was confusion with the campus fee, we truly try to be as transparent as possible. We will follow up with Expedia and see what we can do differently to make it more clear. Also, if you are to return, I just wanted to let you know that we do have European style bedding, but we can always make your bed up with the extra sheet if requested. I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed the food in Geneva ChopHouse. I truly do appreciate your feedback, it does help us improve and make changed for the future. If there is anything I can do for you in the future please let me know. Regards, Steve Magnuson General Manager

We had a delightful stay. The staff was excellent, helpful, and friendly. The Golf Pro Shop was helpful and very accommodating to our request for an earlier tee time.

The nicest hotel I've ever stayed at

Posted Sep 5, 2017
My girl and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate her birthday. When we were checking in we were asked if we were celebrating anything so I told them it was my girl's birthday and they gave us a voucher for a free bottle of wine or champagne to celebrate which was extremely nice. The hotel itself was very nice looking and the staff was very friendly. There was even a tv built into the mirror which was very cool (it just looks like a mirror until you turn it on, once you do there's a small screen near the bottom of the mirror). The food is a bit pricey so be prepared for that. When we were checking out there was a charge to our room for nearly $100 labeled "pool bar" but we never even went to the pools (we went to the water park at their sister site and got some food and drinks but paid for that on a card) and they took the charge off without hassle which was nice of them. The only thing I thought was odd was that for as nice as the hotel is, there is a large touch screen display in the main lobby that feels very dated. It's a bit slow to respond, the resolution is ok, but if you're looking at the menu for a restaurant in the hotel you can't scroll by dragging along the page, rather you get a small scroll bar on the side that takes maybe 30 seconds to respond. Overall it was very nice, but a bit pricey.

I liked the comfort of the hotel. The hotel staff and service is beyond excellent. They respond to all your needs and try their best to ensure that anything you need is taken care of. They did not have elevators so carrying luggage up the stairs was not fun. The room had spiders on the ceiling. They also charge a "campus fee" each day for using their facilities.

Nice resort but expensive

Posted Aug 22, 2017
We stayed here for the weekend for our anniversary. The hotel is nice but not worth the cost, at least for us. First off, the base rate is high, then we got a $20 resort fee. Apparently the bottle of water, parking, Wifi, etc. are not free but part of this charge. I stay at hotels for work all the time and things like these are almost always free, except for parking in a downtown area, which Lake Geneva clearly is not. They have a bunch of activities every day, but even those are not free. We took part in the bon fire and smores thing for the kids. It was not free to make smores, and it was out in the middle of the woods where there were mosquitos bigger than rats and we (and others) left as quickly as we could. Being a resort, they should have more casual dining options. The Italian restaurant had been fully booked until late at night. Some casual and kid friendly spots would be nice for those of us that don't want to leave the hotel.
