Gréât hôtel. Close to everything in walking distance. Only thing was the 7,00 $ hidden fée per day. My hotel had been paid for in full I thought.

Bait and SwitchPosted Aug 21, 2015 on Hotels
I booked through a 3rd party, I assume Hotels.com. This was a family vacation for my husband & I, our son & his wife, our daughter & her husband. I asked for 3 rooms side by side, facing the Lake and top floor. I specifically asked for the the Hotel Not the other buildings. We got 3 rooms facing the parking lot, the building had no elevator and we were on the second floor. Will only book directly with hotel from now on in.

Great views of Lake George. Convenient location to attractions. Nice breakfast, lunch café was ok. Would have been nice to have coffee in the lobby

VERY BAD EXPERIENCEPosted Aug 18, 2015 on Hotels
I had a very bad experience booking with this hotel!!! I made my 3 night reservations for a standard room. And as the name of the Hotel on Hotels.com website suggests "Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center", I expected my stay will be in a hotel, NOT IN A MOTEL. But when I arrived they tried to put me in a motel next to the Hotel building. Their point was that the "West Motel" is a part of the property as their west wing. I would not mind to stay at a motel if I had made my reservations for a motel. But on the reservation page it was not mentioned at anywhere that Standard Room means room in the adjacent motel. The conditions of the "Motel" room were really bad and the air-conditioning was not working. I asked them to put me in a Hotel room for which I made my reservations for and they charged me an extra $50 per night calling it an upgrade. So I have no word to better to describe this situation but a SCAM. Hotels.com also has a responsibility to provide correct information to its patrons at the time of booking if they are booking a hotel room or "a room at the motel next to the hotel". Think twice before booking with them.

A nice hotel with great service.Posted Aug 17, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel in a great location few minutes from 87 north little disappointed with the rooms. The people at the reception incredible, Carmen specially very helpful kind and attentive. The view spectacular the swimming pool had a lot of stuff in it. Beautiful but not very inviting. The grounds nice.. Very family oriented relaxing place to spend few days away from the city. We will probably go back this winter.

First time in lake georgePosted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
Overnight stay. Spent time in both pools and walking around town. Lovely view and perfect location. A very short walk to town. I would have liked a fridge in the room but otherwise the hotel was lovely. Hot tub nice and hot and the sauna is qaulity. Outdoor pool nice and cool and indoor pool a nice and tepid. Ate breakfast downstairs. Great value

Great place e to stayPosted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
Staff was friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the older motel style building which was somewhat dated but clean. 2 adults and 3 teens were a snug fit but overall a good experience. Resort is close to everything. Waterfront is down the hill and across the street, very short walk. Restaurants and shops are walking get distance. Great view of lake from veranda bar ,perfect for after dinner drink.

Pictures can be deceiving.Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: The outdoor wicker seating over looking Lake George, close to town, price reasonable considering time of year.
Cons: The room we had could use some major updating. Bathroom, carpeting, mattresses. Non smoking areas, outdoor games (one shuffle board court).
Location: Couldn't ask for a better location. Lake, beaches, steamboat, parasailing, right across street. Walk to town. Dining, arcades, gift shops.
Hotel located overlooking/on southern Lake George, walking distant from activities, town and park.Three sections to this hotel, our section/room in need of updating. Tub floor was soft, had mold in corners, stained rugs, no in room refrigerator. Pool and grounds well kept, wicker seating on patio at main section overlooking Lake was a plus. Would go back again but this time request a specific room.
