Nice hotel, dicey Wifi

Posted Nov 10, 2015
The hotel was nice and the staff were pleasant but the wifi was practically nonexistent. The heavy door at the end of the hallway was extremely noisy when guests closed it. There was no continental breakfast but an additional charge for the breakfast buffet, which we passed on.

Standard

Posted Oct 6, 2015 on Hotels
We went for a wedding. However, we did not know there was an option to stay in the Deluxe area of the hotel or we would have. We were in "Premier" and it was anything but premier. They should rename this portion to standard so that it is not misleading. The view of the lake, if you're on the lake side, is amazing. The parking is ample and the lobby and grounds are nice.

I'm very disappointed and very disgusted. To room that we didn't expect and the way we were treated.

Was there for a wedding. Very nice hotel but wasn't crazy about the room being right off the parking lot and next to the ice and vending machines.

Good location for triathlon

Posted Sep 10, 2015
Pros: Proximity to Lake George triathlon
Cons: The A/C noise reduced.
Location: We were not there long enough to take in facilities.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed as the air conditioning was quite noisy. We were allowed to check out later than the scheduled time with no additional charges.

Great Hotel with excellent views of the lake.

Posted Sep 9, 2015
Pros: Location and amenities.
Cons: Update hotel areas.
Location: Great location close to Village with shopping , entertainment. lake cruises and museums.
Great staff at all levels; housekeeping, check out and in, breakfast, and outdoor bar with a great view.

Expedia customers treated as 2nd class guests.

Posted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, veranda bar.
Cons: Customer service.
Beware that Expedia customers do NOT get lake-view rooms as a general rule at this hotel - these are reserved for customers who book direct even though the price and room descriptions are EXACTLY the same on both the Expedia and hotel sites. I was informed of this by a staff member only after getting the run around from 3 different staff members at the front desk, including the manager, when I requested a lake-side room. This hotel also lists Room Service as an amenity and has NO ROOM SERVICE, but instead cold sandwiches in a cooler in the lobby. There was no water access but the location was still nice, perfect view of the fireworks from the veranda bar, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. This might have been a nice stay if they represented themselves honestly.

The main hotel was beautiful but I stayed in the 2 story motel. Though the view from my room was beautiful and the room was fine, building itself was not near up to par with the rest of the hotel. the tiles and the floors by the ice machines were disgusting. All in all I was happy but it could have been much better
