There was no lights on in the parking area. Could not see to walk up to the house. A big plus it looks right over the lake!

Great place to stay.
This was a great place to stay and a wonderful location. We stayed in the Queen of the Lakes room. Our room was very large and the bed was comfortable. We meet some very nice people at breakfast.

Great location, terrific atmosphere
We felt right at home in this beautiful B & B. Hospitality is great and we will stay there whenever we visit the area.

Amazing folks and beautiful views!
Peter and Judy were both very accommodating. The house is an amazing example of older summer homes for NY affluence. The views from the deck were amazing.

First time in Hague
The innkeeper/hostess is very friendly and efficient. The Ruah 's wide front porch with groupings of wicker furniture overlooks Lake George is a beautiful spot to sit and relax. The living room is massive and inviting and the dining room is elegantly set with blue and white china for breakfast. The dining room also has a majestic view of Lake George. However the location is very far from Lake George and Bolton Landing. The room is comfortable but while the bathroom is large the shower is horrible and the bathroom, while private, is detached from the room. WiFi is sketchy at best. If you want to get away from the city this might be the place for you, unfortunately it was not for us.

A step back in history...
We loved Ruah B&B, the home has an interesting history. Our room was huge with a fireplace, view of Lake George, comfy bed and great fluffy high end towels in the bathroom. We also had access to an outside deck from our room. The breakfast was lovely and the Fosters were kindly people. The only drawback we can think of was there was no immediate access to the lake, we had to drive down the road to a public beach... which was infested with children... just kidding. We will return to Ruah.

Too expensive for what you get.
Room was comfortable but the property is poorly maintained and in need of much repair. Guest parking is at the bottom of a steep incline/driveway which you must maneuver to get to the entrance. Fireplace was inoperable and owners were not available to seek assistance. Nice view, but the property has a road with a sharp curve in front of it and there is no access to the lake.

Very picturesque
House was a little worn, but still very comfortable. A great place to stay, if you are visiting the forts.

Great bed and breakfast
The lakeside location, large porch with comfortable chairs and and kind, helpful owner made this a beautiful retreat. The owner was extremely helpful, even providing an early breakfast when we had to depart early for the rest of our trip. She also always had suggestions for local dining an sightseeing options. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who enjoys a personal bed and breakfast.

Would love to go back
We stayed over because we were attending a baby shower down the road at a friends' house. It is super cute and the view is gorgeous. We didn't get to spend much time hanging out at the hotel, but we wish we had more time to just sit on the porch and enjoy the view of the lake.

A Great B&B on the North side of Lake George.
This is a wonderful B&B on the north end of Lake George. Though the house is old, it is charming and well-appointed. This is an ideal place to get away from the more touristy areas of Lake George. There is no TV in the room which was not a problem for me, but there is one in the main living area. I was stunned that each room has its own access to a semi-private balcony that overlooks the lake. Breakfast was lovely. The hosts are very accommodating. I would return here for a mini, solo vacation.

beautiful view
sorry we had the worst weather, as the house had a beautiful porch to sit out and look at Lake George. This was a very interesting historic house. More time would have been fun. Breakfast was good.

Old but maintained house, only complaint is that due to the age of the house the room had a bad musty oder.

Wonderful Place
Ruah is a lovely property, has a very friendly host and hostess, and provides a delicious breakfast to see us on our way. We heartily endorse Ruah B&B for anyone looking for a lovely place to stay along northern stretches of Lake George.
