Nearly got my money's worth

Elevator was out of order, but I was fortunate enough to stay on the first floor. Breakfast was somewhat lacking; many items were not fresh. There were adequate TV channels, but no way to hook up my computer to the TV to watch a DVD (television was mounted to the wall and did not swivel; there was no access to any HDMI or other input). The television did not have a sleep timer. The housekeeping service was excellent! Attendants at the front desk and in the breakfast area were friendly and helpful. I thought the room rate was a little excessive, but manageable.

Nicest Comfort Inn Suite ever stayed in

Posted Oct 26, 2015
Cons: DID NOT like the fact that the owner stayed parked under the covered area in front of the lobby
Was extremely surprised how much I enjoyed staying at this hotel! For a TINY town in Texas, this Comfort Suites was very clean and all the rooms had upgraded features. Great channel options and loved the complimentary snack bag at check-in. Every single person behind the desk was wonderful greeted us with a smile and warm words. We stayed while Hurricane Patricia hit so we were stuck inside most of our trip but if we return to Lake Jackson, we will definitely stay here again. MANAGEMENT: DID NOT like the fact that the owner stayed parked under the covered area in front of the lobby for the ENTIRE weekend - very selfish to take up that space which is meant for guests. I understand it was raining the entire weekend but only (2) cars can park under there at a time. We had a wedding to attend and my husband fetched the car for us, while he was headed back a guest who wanted to check in parked in the other spot so I had to run in the rain to get to my car. I am not a person who complains but please be aware this is very disrespectful to your guests.

Friendly, earnest service

Posted Sep 14, 2015 on Hotels
Very safe area conveniently close to the main thoroughfare, shopping, restaurants. The hotel was undergoing a room-by-room remodeling so it was a little noisy. The staff very friendly and helpful (thank you Jeanne-Marie). The breakfast was on time and though more prose than poetry, it was served with an earnest smile. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

this was very spacious, but bathroom looked a little old, with rust and stains. Breakfast was not replenished well, and food quality was just OK. Nice selection of pillows and bed was decent.

Good for business stays

In LJ for business. Hotel is kept up fairly well except for the exercise room which was a little space, small and dirty. Comfortable bed. Price too high for that quality of a hotel.

Comfort Suites minus the comfort

Posted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
The Employees were the greatest part of this hotel, they were more than helpful and willing to help with anything. There is no doubt that their service is top notch, however, its the actual comfort part that is the problem. The bed was stiff as a board and sheets smelled awful like they were placed on the bed still damp and got musty, and the new sheets I requested didn't seem much better in smell. The room came with an air conditioning unit that was just the worst part about the trip. It had an auto cutoff once it hit 68 degrees, then would automatically turn back on if it raised to 69, which was every two mins. The unit was so ridiculously loud when it'd kick back on that I'd jolt out of bed when asleep, and being how humid it was in Lake Jackson, there was no way anyone could be in the room without it on. I seriously broke down to the point at 4am through all of this, that I took the mattress out of the couch's pull out bed, and used it to sleep on the floor on the other side of the room. The entire two nights there, I'd only gotten 5 hours of sleep, which made the 6hr drive home interesting, to say the least. In conclusion, again the staff were amazing and tried to be helpful with what they could do, but with a fully booked place on a memorial day weekend, there wasn't much they could do, like give me a new room. I may try some place else next time I visit Lake Jackson, but the place isn't exactly a tourists hot spot with dozens of lodgings to choose from.
