"The booking and sign in process was quick and no nonsense and easy. The location is great, close enough to lake lure, but still secluded. We did lose power during the stay, but it was due to a storm which knocked out power locally. It also came back on within a few hours. Only complain was that some of the sheets and towels smelt milldewy. My partner is sensitive to this so we ended up washing everything with the in unit washer and drier units. I would regardless recommend the place to my friends."

"We loved the location of this property, private feeling and with trees all around. The smells and sounds of summer and nature were very relaxing. We loved the outdoor space and the windows which afforded a lovely view no matter where you looked. It was a like a tree house get away. There are stairs to get to the front door and stairs to get down to the 2nd bathroom and beds on the “basement” level. The downstairs can only be accessed from the outside and is completely separate from the main space. It was so conveniently located to the lake for boat rentals and a market just down the road. 5 minute drive to Chimney Rock’s little Main Street. An hour to Asheville for a day trip. We would stay here again but there were a lot of spiders and webs (you are in nature, in a forested location) so you must sweep them away every time you go out on the deck especially if you have little ones or pets visiting. While we were there the hot tub was broken and the upstairs shower was not working but our host was so kind to refund us for the inconvenience and was very easy to communicate with. It’s a quaint, quirky older property but it has a very relaxing and comfortable air about it. The beds were comfortable and it was a safe, quiet place to stay."

"The house was large, beautiful and a great location. However, the cabin had not been thoroughly dusted and cleaned in a while. We had to leave a day early because of family allergy issues. The top layer of bed linens were very dusty - which we never use much but as I said we had to leave a day early.The kitchen utensil drawer had dead flies in them.That being said, I did contact host and he was going to order a thorough cleaning on cabin."

"This place was absolutely perfect for us! We spent as much time outdoors as possible and never even felt the need to sit in the living room or turn on the TV. The covered deck was wonderful, even during the afternoon storms, and the private dock with steps into the water truly made the experience. We loved being able to fish, float, and enjoy the lake right from the property. The location is also fantastic, just minutes from great restaurants. We will definitely stay here again and are already looking forward to our next trip. Thank you, Judy, for sharing such a special home!"
