The hotel is perfectly located across from the park and ferry stations. There was also a little train car available for a drive around the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The corner room was very good, newer door to the balcony and window were quite effective in quieting the street and restaurant noise from below. The breakfast was good for European standards, excellent for US standards. Only ‘negatives’ were- parking is at the Regina Palace, a few mins walk, and limited parking during events like weddings. The room key was on a heavy weight, not the newer electronic keys being used, but we just left it with the front desk when we went out for the day. Would be nice to have hot tea and coffee in the lobby at night.

It’s the best location if you are visiting Stresa for the first time. The ferry can take you anywhere and just across the street. Can board the airport bus right outside the hotel. Great restaurant on site. Excellent service and great breakfast. We went to the pool one time and is very relaxing.

Hotel rooms were very clean, staff is extremely attentive and work with a sense of urgency. Beautiful views and you can walk everywhere.

Special hotel. We had a great time there. Very good service. The rooms are old but with kind of magic. Breakfast can be improved. But in total our stay was great!!

Loved the location and the proximity to the lake, shops, restaurants and ferry terminal. Fabulous, friendly staff. Good breakfast with exceptional service. Loved the lake view balcony. We have stayed here before and it was just as we remembered - perfect!

Hotel spotless. Beautiful seating area to have breakfast. Room small, but clean. Bed ok. Great, helpful staff. Front of house ( restaurant) very efficient. Affordable. Use of neighbouring hotel pool was a nice bonus. Best place to stay in Stresa.

Great Place to Stay
This is a fantastic place to stay on Lago Maggiore. Right in the heart of town. AND you get access to parking and the pool at the Regina Palace. A big bonus. I definitely would return!

Great hotel on the lake
Loved the hotel. Great location, by the lake and opposite the ferry landing. Plenty of restaurants and shops all around. Staff were wonderful. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was great. I could not have been happier!

This is a beautiful historic warm and welcoming grand, yet friendly and comfortable, hotel. The staff was so very accommodating and everyone was happy and nice. Even though we don’t speak Italian, the staff always had someone who spoke English. Rooms are a bit small but you have to understand that this is an old hotel. The view over Lake Maggorie from the room is stunning. The ferry boats to the islands are right across the street in front of the hotel and the small downtown is right behind the hotel.

Fantastic stay! Right in the center of Stresa with beautiful lake views. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Only nice to have would have been a fridge/minibar. Other than that it was fabulous would recommend and hope to stay again soon.

The room was very small and smells. When we booked this facility it tell us that 4 people can sleep there. It was Suitable for only 3 people. The refrigerator has to be ordered separately. Pictures on the internet and real life stands were different. Not recommended

A pleasant stay in a great location
The hotel is gorgeous throughout and is perfectly located only a 10 minute walk from the train station and right along the shore. Your stay gives you free access to an amazing outdoor pool at the nearby Regina Palace hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was comfortable and the AC worked well. I would definitely stay here again

The water view was fantastic and excellent location, near the water, park, ferry boats, and shops. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff was helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport when our planned shuttle canceled on us. I’d definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely place we returned to after 9 years and it is still wonderful. The only real upgrade they need are new beds/mattresses. Perfect location and excellent staff.

Checked-in before 12 noon was unpleasant, as our assigned room was dirty. Due to tele.conference and internet, my husband had to stay in the room for more than an hour until the tel. meeting was over. it was unpleasant as the room was dirty, dirty towels and garbage were n the toilet. We were told to leave the room as the housekeepers would not be available after 2pm. My husband had to stop his tel. conference earlier than it should have been. Breakfast was okay and staff in breakfast area were friendly. Location of the hotel is good.

Friendly staff and excellent breakfast service (B&B stay only). Well located hotel for boat trips and rail station. Great lake view from our room balcony. Unfortunately usual hotel concrete pillows inhibiting a comfortable sleep.

Great location, friendly staff, small but clean rooms , tiny bathroom,. Got room 606: enormous terrace overlooking the lake on two sides of the room. The only thing that needs to be taken into account in this hotel is that it’s two buildings/hotels and you don’t know where they’ll put you up, Milan au Lac is nicer than Milan Speranza au Lac. But you are free to use the facilities in both.

Lovely hotel right in the heart of. Stresa. Ferry port literally over the road. Continental breakfast is very substantial and staff very attentive We had a standard room which I would describe as adequate. Shampoo and soap provided but no hair conditioner. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent value for money.

Great location, but........
We travel quite a bit and leave honest reviews. In hindsight we perhaps should have paid more attention to other reviews for this hotel. The location is great, close to everything in Stresa and the ferry terminal. We had an enormous balcony on the top floor, it was actually bigger than the room. Amazing views across the lake from there. We booked a double room but had two singles pushed together, with soft and uncomfortable mattresses. Aircon made lots of noise but not effective. Breakfast - don't bother. Nothing hot, not even a toaster, and only on until 9.30am even at the weekend. However, if you stay at the hotel as part of a tour group you have a different breakfast room with hot food and toaster! Bathroom very small, had to walk in sideways, great shower though. When we did ask staff for anything they were surly and seemed put out. At checkout no-one asked how our four day stay at their hotel had been. Be aware that the car parking offer is at another hotel, short drive and 5 min walk back to this hotel. Fine for us but others may struggle especially in heat. Stresa is a great base to explore Lake Maggiore, but this hotel does not seem 4 star

Dear Richard, it's the first time that we receive a critical review about the rooms located on the Sixth floor of our hotel with a big terrace overlooking the lake. Well...there is always a first time. Concerning the breakfast, the one complimentary and included in the rate do not provide any hot items which are in any case always available with supplement. The parking is absolutely complimentary as well and we do not think that 150m. bothers too much. All the best and kind regards

Everything is well organised. Car parking was free in a safe carpark at a neighbour hotel, the amenities were at the neighbouring hotel which was absolutely fine and easy. View is amazing when you have the correct rooms. We did. We only used the Hotel as a base for B&B. The breakfast is great. The staff are all friendly and efficient. Checking in and out is simple. We will definitely go back.
