Worn Out Hotel

Pros: The hotel staff was very accommodating. The location was good.
Cons: It just needs a total remodel. The carpet was not great; the tile and bathroom fixtures were dated.
This hotel was worn out and out-dated. I was expecting a nicer hotel based on the ratings, but everything in this hotel seemed worn out. The bed was comfortable, but the pull out sofa was so bad that you could literally see the springs poking through the mattress.

disappointing

Pros: Location, and the desk staff was very helpful.
Room condition was hit and miss. Some days it was cleaned and used products replaced. Some days only clean towels were left. Many things did not work. Every day one of our room keys would need re-activated. The rear entrance door would not unlock with a room key, the ice machine on our floor was broken.

Nice room, but facility a little faulty

Pros: The fact that the room had a microwave and refrigerator and was laid out well and clean.
Cons: Extra blankets should be available in the room. It's unacceptable for one out of the two elevators to be out of service for two days.
Location: There were many places to eat and shop nearby.
The first impression - check in - could have been better. The employee at the front desk was not in a uniform and didn't look professional. She was wearing a graphic t-shirt. She had a strong southern accent and spoke very fast so it was hard to understand what she was saying. One of the two elevators broke while we were there so waiting times at the elevators were very long, especially while trying to get out of the building with our luggage on the cart for check out. The rooms were very nice and clean so that was enjoyable. I wish there had been an extra blanket or two available in the room.

Close to are event

Pros: Close to everything
Cons: Needs updated , furniture and carpet etc .
Location: located close to food and stores
Staff was friendly, breakfast was good and area was clean .

We were very pleased with the hotel. The hit breakfast was lovely. Folks enjoyed the indoor pool and fitness center.

Lack of maintenance

Pros: Don't like.
The entrance light of the room is out, and after I reported to the front staff, they just took the note and could not get it replaced immediately. The worse thing happened in the morning when I tried to iron my dress. Just as I started ironing, brown-colored water started to flow out of the iron and stained my dress immediately. I have to hand wash my dress. While the iron sits on the board, the brown water keeps flowing out and stained the whole board. HOW CAN THEY PUT SUCH A BAD IRON IN THE ROOM FOR GUEST?

had reservation but when we arrived at 4;30 , room was not ready for another 15 minutes- also ran out of breakfast food {eggs,biscuits) around 9 AM on Saturday

Pros: Location, layout, staff courtesy.
Cons: A little more detailed cleaning. Dirt buildup plus slow turnaround on rooms ... short staffed?
Location: Very handy to I-77, several attractions nearby with NASCAR garages, NC Drivers' Hall of Fame, lake. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
One-night stay while were in town to visit NASCAR Technical Institute. We arrived around 3:00 with a reservation but a room was not ready for us. We went on to drive around town and visit some sites we had planned on visiting. Our room was ready when we returned at 4:30. The staff was very courteous and apologized for not having our room ready. On our return, we were immediately recognized and taken care of quickly. The room looked like it had been remodeled in the past few years and looked "up-to-date". We were disappointed about the amount of dirt buildup on the typical places: door jambs, door handle areas, light switches, and other high-touch places. The toilet, shower, and sink were clean. Breakfast was good, decent selection of continental and hot items.
