A delight to stay in: clean, homely atmosphere, professional staff. What more could you ask for?

Desk employee was awesome. Full of recommendations of things to do over the long weekend and places to potentially avoid crowds. The room was perfect. Breakfast buffet was unbelievable. Waffles, danish, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, juice, mild, yogurt, fruit.... on and on.

The hotel was great. The cleanliness was a 10. The hotel staff were extremely friendly. - we have been to many hotels where the staff was pleasant but a few here went beyond. The maintenance guy (I wish I got his name) was always smiling, easy to talk to and very helpful. The cleaning staff were so friendly and polite. The only negative(and there's always one) is that the doors seemed a bit thin. Sound traveled through very easily esp. when you have an adjoining room as we did. We could make out most of the conversation next door while lying on the bed. Overall a very nice stay

Centrally located.Posted Sep 26, 2015
Pros: The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful.
Location: Touring, restaurants, museums, other lakes, shopping---just a lot of fun.
The hotel is centrally located. It's close to the main drag, but removed just enough so you're not in the middle of things. We took off in many directions and enjoyed many different things the area has to offer. We have a little roadster so the touring was great and we fortunately had wonderful weather.

Hotel not on lake but 30 minute walk or 7 min ridePosted Aug 25, 2015
Decent stay at hotel. Met expectations except that breakfast included was boring and lacked fresh vegetables. Only one washing machine and dryer makes it hard to serve a hotel with so many rooms

Really nice. Friendly people, good location (very short drive to Lake Placid shops), nice small bar/restaurant, great breakfast (standard food- eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cereal/oats fruit, V8, o.j., milk, etc., make your own waffles), nice shower with tub, no problems with room- clean, no need to ask for anything. Wanted to stay another night.

Wonderful place to stay!Posted Aug 23, 2015 on Hotels
The Marriott Lake Placid was a wonderful place to stay! I've stayed in many hotels and this has to be top 5 in my book. The bed was very comfortable, pillows were soft but not too fluffy, shower water pressure was perfect and stayed perfect temperature, towels were soft and fluffy, and room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My family and I will definitely stay here again!
