Very warm and Adirondack comfortable hotel with a very accommodating staff, especially the front deck clerk, Eric, who can't do enough for you. The rooms are large and appear to have been recently renovated and very comfortable. Ask for a room looking out on Mirror Lake. The hotel lobby is expansive with a 2-sided wood burning fireplace in a central lounge area with nice chairs and sofas on which to kick back and relax or socialize. There are plenty of somewhat private areas in the Lobby away from the front desk and from the central fireplace area where one can work, read, or play a game of chess or cards away from others. The hotel restaurant, The Dancing Bear, serves a variety of good food and the bar serves excellent drinks. The restaurant/bar staff is very attentive and friendly as well.

Thank you for sharing your kind words. We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit and I look forward to telling Eric personally that he made such a wonderful impression!
Thank you also for your insightful feedback! While we may not be able to change the shower, we will certainly look into ways we might approach keeping your wife's hair dry next time!
I hope we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back!
