Nice hotel but wrong room.

The only negative is that we were given a first floor handicap accessible room with a shower that was very difficult. The reason given was that we booked through Expedia and that was why we got an inferior room. Other than that it was a well located and clean. No view because of the first floor.

While we certainly don't consider our accessible rooms inferior we understand that special design features like roll-in shower and wall mounted vanity may come as a surprise if you are not expecting such modifications. It is our goal to ensure all guests receive the room they reserve and reviewing the reservation information we received from Expedia, it does look like the room you had reserved was one of our accessible rooms. Perhaps this is what our team member meant when they explained that you received a handicap room because of your reservation through Expedia? Rooms weren't clean throw up in bathroom sinks plus garbage around the floor come on guys ..4 star hotel funny .. great view but bad management ..

Perfect location in the town, room was the right size, washroom was perfect, new shower. out door pool was cool. short walk to the lake and all the boats and canoes were free with hotel purchase. no issues, excellent time. lots of parking space. booking in was fast and phone call to front desk was all that was required for check out.

Nice hotel close to everything good view

Although we booked a king waterfront room on line, the check in staff recommended we stay in the main section of the hotel in a king room with a better view of the water. They were right.

pet friendly but not monitored

Great supplies in room for dogs but not monitored for distressed dogs left alone. Also pet grass, people not having decency to clean up after their pets is inconsiderate. Should be cameras in zone

Perfect hotel and location

Pros: Nice and quiete rooms, location, pool and outdoor activities
Location: 1 Minute from everything you need - perfect
We love the hotel. Very nice and quiete rooms. Our kits (3&8) had a lot of fun and would like to got back as soon as possible (we too). The location is perfect - directly on the lake and 1 Minute from shops and restaurants.

Great Hotel for Dog owners

We have stayed here before and plan on returning. The staff is excellent. When you check in you are greeted with champagne (for you) and water (for your dog). They give your dog a bandanna and make you feel like the dog is welcomed. The pet rooms are on the first floor with doors to the courtyard so you can walk your dog. They are equipped with Dog beds and bowls. The rooms are clean and the hotel is in the middle of town so you can walk to the shops and restaurants. They also give you a 10% coupon when checking in for their restaurant, The Dancing Bear. Right now this is our favorite place to stay in Lake Placid.
