But outdated place that needs more cleaning. Appliances are very old and not used (not clean). Utensils are also not great. Expensive for the state of place.

This was a great spot to stay - friendly staff, nice room spaces, and the gardened pool area is really pretty. There was a really strong smell to our room while we were there, which is the only reason I marked a few stars off of the rating - something other than the sulfur smell that you notice around Rotorua. I assume that it was a temporary issue that they were dealing with, rather than a permanent smell.
