Most disappointing stay ever on Vrbo
Never book again with Vacasa. Upon arrival at the property, we encountered a hazardous situation where snow and ice had accumulated up to 6 feet, blocking access to the front door. (no joke, I wish I can upload photo in review) Despite our attempts to contact Vacasa, we did not receive any assistance in clearing the snow and ice. Consequently, while attempting to climb over the snow and ice to get into the house, one of our friends slipped, dislocated his left shoulder and ended up in emergency room. After round trip to Tahoe Forest Hospital ER it was already 3am. This injury happened due to Vacasa's negligence, which resulted in significant medical expenses and ruined our trip. Furthermore, the property also suffered from severe huge crawling and flying ant/termite infestation, making it uninhabitable. These pests were constantly dropping from the ceiling and flying around the house, sometimes ended us on our body, making it impossible for us to have a peaceful meal or restful sleep. Additionally, the property had other issues, including dirty pots and dishes, no paper towels, no trash bags, a trash can outside that was inaccessible due to uncleared snow, and a driveway covered in ice, which made it impossible to park our cars, we literally parked a few blocks away and walked, imagine with all the bags, luggage, snowboards… Overall, please stay as far away as you can from this property.

Our family of 5 with two teens enjoyed staying in this lovely home. The home is well appointed and comfortable. Pictures are an accurate depiction of the property. We would choose to stay here again.

Decent Cabin in the Pines
Our family visits the West Shore every summer for a gathering and we’ve stayed in multiple cabins in the same neighborhood. This one is fine, but nothing special and certainly not a value for the price we paid. It’s a standard A-frame that’s had few upgrades over the years, and the paint, decor, amenities could all use a little sprucing up. The three bedrooms were fine and provided a decent night’s sleep, and the downstairs living area was spacious enough (though not as large as the pictures make it look). Thoughtful touches that you find in many rentals are missing here, and even standard items (I.e., hand soap, bath soap, laundry detergent, cooking oil, foil, etc.) were missing during our stay. Homes in the neighborhood are relatively close to one another, so do not expect much privacy, however the deck was spacious with ample outdoor furniture.

Decent space
The space was a good size for our group. The beds were clean and the living spaces were great for gathering and hanging out. The upstairs was quite dated, but downstairs looked like it been more recently updated. The front door was under construction so the door frame was missing. The WiFi didn’t work at all and we had very limited service throughout the house. The biggest issue we had was that inside one of the drawers of a nightstand that our 87 year old grandfather was sleeping in a downstairs bedroom was cannabis, a used pipe and a knife.

Great place!
We had an excellent stay! The bedding was not as fresh as I had expected with the additional cleaning steps noted for COVID but the biggest challenge was the front walkway. Ice and snow was waist high and only a 12 inch wide path led to the front steps which were also covered with icy snow. This made it very difficult to move our belongings into the house and to exit/enter the home. The front entry is not maintained by the property management and they recommended we use snow shovels. The ice was too frozen and deep for a snow shovel. All of that to say, I do not recommend this property for elderly guests or folx with physical limitations in the winter or early spring. I would definitely return or recommend this property outside of snow season.
