For once... better than the pictures

Overall, we were very impressed. Well-taken pictures can always make even a mediocre property look great. But this property was even better than the pictures. Each room (from bedrooms to bathrooms to common rooms) was beautiful and in great condition and clean. Everything worked (from lights to internet to dishwasher to the hot tub to you-name-it). Little things you don't notice until there's a problem were not a problem (e.g., they were well-stocked on toilet paper and paper towels and Kleenex; the sliding glass door opened and closed and locked and unlocked easily; little things, but as soon as there's a problem, you notice immediately). The towels were nice quality. The beds were comfortable and there was a variety of pillows from flat and hard to huge and soft, so you could pick your style. The one thing I wish were different was that each bedroom (I think it was all three) had windows above the "regular" windows which had no window coverings, and the master also had 2 skylights above the bed with no coverings. This meant that if you didn't want bright sunlight waking you up first thing in the morning, you were out of luck. It made for wonderful light during the day, of course, and it looked great from a style perspective. But we were not super happy with uncontrollable early morning light. That's really the only negative. The location was close enough to downtown, the lake, casinos and parks (e.g. Van-Sickle Bi-State Park) to be convenient to most things. The lack of a neighbor on one side of the property added to the peaceful / quiet feeling. We brought our dog, and it was important to us to have a fenced yard where our dog could run around while we were there. The yard was completely fenced, and there were no gaps or loose gates where the dog could get out (or other large animals could get in). In that sense, it was exactly as described, and we appreciated it (as did our dog). Some of the floor coverings are light colored, so we used baby wipes on our dog's paws after she was outside in order to not leave any trace. Just FYI that you might want to bring some. There are definitely cheaper places to stay, but you also get what you pay for. We found a relatively high-end home, very well maintained and well stocked that allows dogs. That was great. Also, the management company was communicative and responsive, which we appreciated. Overall, a very positive experience.

South Lake Tahoe home was Amazing!

This property was perfect for our family vacation. Better than the photos portrayed. The kitchen was superbly supplied, the layout allowed space for everyone and the backyard was a true delight. The hot tub was a great finish to our days of adventure in the Tahoe area. We hope to stay again!
