Room had no curtain, just sheets. Too much light to sleep comfortably. Staff fantastic!

Pros: location and price
Cons: attention to detail
Location: Truckee is a cute little town and skiing
I stayed overnight with my two pre teen children. We all loved it. Definitely nice for the price. I plan to stay here again in the future. The room was clean except they neglected to empty the trash from the previous guest. All in all, great stay. Nice courtyard and the staff was super friendly.

Close to North Star

Posted Apr 14, 2017 on Hotels
Pretty nice stay. It was close to the North Star resort. This is one of the most expensive places I have ever paid for ($300 for a Saturday night during peak ski season) and I really did not think it was worth that price - but it was cheaper than the Ritz at North Star. Trying to eat breakfast and get to the slopes on time for a ski lesson for my 3 year old was impossible due to the mass amount of people getting breakfast at the same time. It's OK though, because he had no interest in skiing when we arrived at North Star. He just wanted to sled (which is not really allowed at North Star) and skate (really nice outdoor skating at North Star). It all worked out, but next time I will probably travel during the weekdays to avoid the prices and chaos.
