Hotel in need of updating, everything is old style

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: It was clean and staff was nice
Cons: in need of renovating, very old, you can see the furnitures are worn and the walls are in need of repair
Location: was very well located
This hotel is in need of updating, bathroom was very old, room was small for two queen beds. We were not able to get TV reception. The staff was very nice and accomodating we arrived at 1:30AM, check in was easy since I made reservation on line. Breakfast was not good at all, it was white and brown bread, dry cereal, milk, coffee and OJ. there should at least have some fruits. However the room was clean and so I would rate it as ok and recommend

Needs updating

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pool was to cold and hot tub too hot. Chairs in room stained. Continental breakfast very minimal. Rates were inexpensive so I didn't expect much and I got what I paid for.

Convenient, but that's about it

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Towels are getting a little used. Drapes are showing wear and tear.
In town for an event, and needed a room for a couple of nights. This facility, like most along this strip, is pretty old, however a lot of effort has been put into it to make it try to look attractive, i.e. fresh paint, etc. The rooms were clean, but basic. The thing is, this is Lake Tahoe, and the rates reflect it. In most other locations, this room would rent for less than half of what is being charged.

1 night in Tahoe on a road trip.

Posted May 30, 2015 on Hotels
Admittedly this was a night in between peak seasons, however..... The place seems very dated, could do with an overhaul. The room we had was very cold, felt unused in sometime, however our friend stated their room was the opposite, so maybe just a quirk? The WiFi worked in the rooms and we were as far from the main office as you could be, so that was good. The breakfast on the other hand was abysmal! There were probably only 4/5 rooms in use the night we stayed judging by the car park, however, 5 slices of bread in the tray for toast etc, 2 choices of cereals, however, they were mixed in, so raisin bran was a mix of flakes and bran! There was minimal choice, no waffles, no fruit, no pastries, but there was a cereal bar! Also, oatmeal packs were available but no sign of a microwave? Maybe you had to request it? Location on the main road was good and accessible. Overall, poor, wouldn't stay again.

DON'T STOP HERE

Posted May 26, 2015 on Hotels
we were a party of #3. Room set up for #2. Bed linens too small -only covered top of bed not the sides. No information regarding which heat source to use. Room very cold. Asked office. Told to use AC unit for heat. Minimal "continental" breakfast - no fruit - only dry cereal & plain read. This is a very old & rundown motel which deserves better upkeep for the $179.00 rate. Lot better competition near Stateline.DO NOT RECOMMENT if you want a pleasant evening.

99 problems and it's all housekeeping

Posted Apr 28, 2015
I was suprised to find my room poorly presented. I even took pictures of the room and almost left. In defense of Days Inn I am a housekeeping supervisor so have higher standards. The gentleman upfront was very nice and helpful but after staying here I will never stay in a Days Inn again.

Decent but Spartan room

It was a decent room for the price but very spartan. It would help to have a mini fridge in the room.
