Well run. Clean, friendly, nice breakfast.Posted Mar 9, 2015
Good example of a well run property. Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our two small children enjoyed the public area. Would recommend for a family or a business meeting.

Centrally located in TruckeePosted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Clean and convenient
Cons: Have separate serving containers for the pancakes and meat, that way kids with allergies/vegetarians can enjoy the pancakes.
Convenient. Neutrogena products in bathrooms Roll away bed was promised but not held for our use.

Ski weekend with kidsPosted Jan 6, 2015
Stayed with two daughters, 5 and 7. They loved the breakfasts and evening movie screening with popcorn. It was very comfortable and well positioned for us to visit both Squaw and Boreal. Staff were very friendly - really more like a small B&B than a large hotel chain like this.

Very Nice One Night StayPosted Jan 4, 2015
We gat a last minute opening at the hotel. The room was just how they described it, the linens were very fresh, and the room was very clean. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way when we had a problem. It is close to shops and restaurants, and really quiet. We will definitely go back again.

Great stay, especially for familiesPosted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: suite rooms, complimentary breakfast and manager presence
Location: good proximity to Northstar ski resort.
the room was very spacious. We were coming in late and requested a roll out bed as well. It was all ready when we arrived. We had teenaged boys and really appreciated them having their own space, tv and half bath. The complimentary breakfast was good and I was impressed to see the hotel manager in the breakfast area all morning. It really showed a personal connection not usually seen at other hotels. Also proximity to Northstar ski area was great.

Nice hotel caterering to families.Posted Jan 2, 2015
Hampton Inn gets high marks on many levels, from attentive and friendly staff focused on our comfort and well-being, to the updated lobby and dining hall decor, the theater-style children's movie and popcorn in meeting room, to warm cookies in the lobby...Hampton Inn just works hard to create a good experience for its guests.

Expensive at this time of yearPosted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Breakfast. Location to Ski Slopes.
Cons: Price. Eating/Drinking facilities.
Location: Great for Skiing.
This was our first visit to Lake Tahoe and we booked quite late. The Hampton Inn was one of the last choices available so we reluctantly booked it at double what I would usually expect to pay for this level of hotel. The stay was comfortable. Breakfast is good. Location is very good for Tahoe Donner and North Star slopes. We didn't find many places to eat nearby and facilities in the hotel are minimal. Staff were great and the room was big enough for the baby crib that they provided. I would stay here again but prefer to be closer to at least one bar or restaurant, although I did notice that there was a lot in fron of the hotel available for a future eating/drinking establishment.

good stay for a quick family tripPosted Dec 29, 2014
Room windows aren't double paned so the crib set up next to the window in the snowy winter made for a very cold toddler at night (poor guy). Hotel had decent location but driving anywhere is a must. Just a few mins from Northstar and Truckee, which was great. Friendly staff. Free breakfast was typical, unfortunately (unhealthy food).

Very dissapointed in TruckeePosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly...
Cons: Maintenance, maintenance and more maintenance...
Location: Lots to do in Truckee!
The sofa was filled with dirty spots of which many looked disgusting! The carpet extremely stained... There was a plate with chocolate cake with a fork in it by the nightstand and a baby bottle on the floor next to the bed. Wow... We've stayed in many Hampton Inn Suites (as well as many other hotels) before and have never had an experience like this.
