stay at lakeside inn resort and casino

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Quiet and peaceful and was able to get a good night's sleep.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Location was great for us. Close to Hwy. to Kingsbury Grade to go over to Minden, Nevada to visit friend.
stay at Lakeside was relaxing and we enjoyed our stay. They only thing wrong was there was a water leak in bathroom by toilet that wasn't noticed until Sunday morning. Staff was quick on response to change sheets because of accident.

Cozy without the noise and crowd.

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: It was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle on the California side of the Stateline.
Cons: The carpet in our room appeared to be covering an underground access. It was a little unnerving.
Location: Just 3 miles away to the East is Zephr Cove resort and recreation area. We had booked a ride on the MS Dixie II. That was a very enjoyable.
My husband and I just stayed at the Lakeside Inn and Casino in Stateline, South Lake Tahoe. We were originally given a room near the pool but from past experience, I knew this could mean people talking and laughing well into the night, so we requested a room in a more quiet area of the hotel. They graciously accommodated us and we were very pleased. The desk clerk, Judy, even called us a few minutes later to check if we were satisfied with the location and room. We were definitely satisfied and slept very soundly.

Dated but a good value

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Wedding stay - staff was friendly, facility clean but seriously dated. Would be neat IF the property could be renovated using the 70's / 80's decor currently in place ??

interesting..rustic..but nice

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Interesting .. can’t get any rustic than that… I got a really good deal otherwise I don’t think I would pay a full price considering the room’s décor and feeling: it was like you stepped back in time…to about 80-ies era? :) But in all fairness – it was clean and the area was fantastic: very central but quiet and peaceful. Check in took some time because of “registering” $20.00 cash for some sort of room/damage deposit and writing the receipt so we can take it back the next day.. hmm not sure what $20 can cover but rules are rules, I guess :) We didn’t care for the casino or gambling so I can’t comment on that but the hotel’s restaurant (The Timbers Restaurant?) was fantastic and we really enjoyed our dinner, delicious and reasonably priced! We didn’t use the pool as it was pretty chilly but the pool area looked very clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable, Wi-Fi was very strong in the room as well as outside within the complex. If you are not looking for a trendy hotel and watching the budget – Lakeside Inn is a good solid choice: after all we had a good night sleep, the room was comfortable, hotel’s staff was friendly and the location is right in the middle of a stunning landscape !

Great Experience

We loved! Room right next to pool/hot tub. Plus did not have to drive to enjoy a little gambling.

Great motel casino-friendly staff, great food

Posted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: The ambience and good vibe, and the food!
Cons: Some rooms probably need to be upgraded or renovated, but this is by no means a problem.
Location: You can hike to Nevada Beach right from the hotel! The large casinos have shows most nights. Shopping is great. Scads to do locally.
I stayed 5 nights at this motel, which is worlds better than staying at the large casinos. The atmosphere is informal and easy on the system! Plenty of ways to gamble if you like that. The food is so good the locals eat there, two superb restaurants with very friendly staff.

Very Uncleanly and way overpriced.

Posted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: Not much. It was close to the strip if that's what you are looking for.
Cons: Everything! New Staff too they are rude and grumpy. The only nice ones were the cleaning ladies!
Location: It's close to the strip if you like that, but in the pictures it looks like it's a cozy hotel on the lake.
I paid a significant about for two nights thinking I was staying at a very nice place. The photos look great it looks like you are right on the lake (lakeside) or at least in walking distance. This place is like a dirty motel 6. The payment is full of pot holes, the rooms look like they weren't clean. Even my blanket was shredded at the end like some dog had chewed on it. The staff was unfriendly and the second day my card key would not work and had to wait at leas 20 minutes in line to get the card redone again. This is not a nice place at all! The TV is a shabby old tv, no updated TV, the internet was so slow I finally had to stop working and wait until I got to the next hotel. And I paid ALOT for these rooms on top of it.

Horrible, very outdated room, bed uncomfortable, broken shower, air-conditioner, old tv with non working remote. Wi-find does not connect. Would never go back! Pictures looked great on Internet very mis-leading, choose somewhere else this is worst then a motel6!
