Not for business travelers!

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: The staff was very friendly and gave me great suggestions for places to go and see.
Cons: The hotel website and room descriptions. The housekeeping policy. Updated/refreshed rooms. Better/clearer cancellation policy.
Location: It's literally right on the highway (next door to ihop and across from McDonalds). Walking distance to lots of restaurants and Lake Tahoe.
I came to Lake Tahoe for a conference and was very disappointed with the POSTMARC Hotel and their policies. Although I booked a refundable room on Expedia, the hotel would not let me cancel my reservation. I had booked this hotel as a backup plan because my conference hotel was full but had a waiting list. I could have switched to the conference hotel and not had to walk a mile each way, but POSTMARC would not allow me to cancel my reservation without paying for it in full. Life goes on. I booked a fireplace suite. I figured it would be a nice way to unwind after my long work days. When I checked in, I was told my room was facing the mountain. Things are looking up, I thought. When I walked into my room, I was shocked. In addition to the fireplace, I had a over-sized, heart shaped bath tub and two tiny windows that faced the parking lot. I guess technically my room did face the mountain, but if you can't see it, what good is the direction your room faces? The room was OK, but nothing to write home about. The entire decor and furniture is very dated, half of my TV channels didn't work, there are no plugs in convenient places and overall the room was just weird. As a business traveler, I like quirky hotels but the POSTMARC is old, tired and lacks all the good qualities of a quirky hotel. It's important to note that housekeeping does not come during your stay unless you request it. They probably pay their housekeepers less because they have less work. That's lame.

Rude staff

Room was a bit dirty walking in. The lady in front was not friendly on three separate occasions i greeted her and recieved a forced smirk every time. Their idea of a coffee bar is watered down coffee and powdered creamer. If you are charging your patrons$ 230 night can you at least afford to provide doughnuts or at the very least good coffee.

Lake Tahoe!

Posted Jul 6, 2017
Pros: Good location, close to Ski Run Marina and it's activities.
Cons: The motel is a bit dated (rustic). Fixtures could use maintenance. The tile on the shower floor needed good cleaning and the caulking replacing.
Location: Good location. Close to marina for water activities and bikes for exploring around the area!
Lake Tahoe has always been an enjoyable area to visit. Fresh air, clear blue water of the lake, and the serenity of mountain landscape made for a great get-away!

Our stay was great! The staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer several discounts that we used around town during our stay there.

Affordable and comfortable!

We went on our annual getaway to Tahoe and decided to stay at this location because of the price and how nice the hotel looked online. It's a little smaller than I expected but we were not disappointed at all. We got the jacuzzi king and it was a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It wasn't a noisy hotel and I liked how it wasn't as busy as most hotels. We would definitely return to this location.

Nice hotel near the lake.

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Hotel is within walking distance, left or right about 10-20 mins for a great variety of food & drink.
Cons: A heated swimming pool, onsite, would be good.
Location: Lake Tahoe is a beautiful location. A great place for a vacation, summer or winter, for all the family.
Our visit to Lake Tahoe was really good. We only had one night but the South Lake area is wonderful.

Thank you for staying with us and enjoyed the great location. Hotel does not advertise as having a swimming pool but the lake is directly across the street.
