Very beautiful Resort!!!!

Posted Aug 15, 2016
Location: It's close to horse riding & zip lining ropes courses.
Driving up to Olympic Valley and finding the resort was easy. The resort is surrounded with trees on the mountain side and it's absolutely beautiful, I really want to plan a trip here during the winter! There's free self parking near the entrance and valet parking up in the front for an additional cost. Check in was a breeze and the receptionist there was very nice and professional. They have complimentary iced lemon/apple water in the front which was very nice after walking up some stairs. The hotel rooms are located at another building right next to check in. There's shopping and restaurants which makes it very convenient. We ate at the sandwich place and bought pizza there ($22 for 16 inch/ $18 for 10 inch). There's a big swimming area with a slide which would be great for kids. We ate outside at the fireplace area and played giant chess on the lawn area. Very nice and serene place to be for a weekend getaway. I would definitely be coming here again.

Resort tucked in mountains

First room we received was dirty, hair on bed and in shower. Soap bar in shower was previously used! Our next room was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful Property

Posted Jul 30, 2016
Pros: Beautiful grounds.. lots of paths, hiking, biking, running, etc. Great family place...
Cons: Read above experience...
Location: Lake Tahoe, Truckee River, Hiking, Skiing, Golf, Paddle-boarding, Running, Walking trails, Shopping, Food, etc!
Our experience was nice. It could have been a little better but I think we just had some bad luck. Started with the Valet attendant... just not the level of hospitality I would expect for a property like this. He did not open the doors for us... barely said a word, I lifted my own luggage, as did my husband. That could be an isolated "bad employee" moment. The room was ok.. however it was LOUD... walls are paper thin.. Heard kids in room next to us at midnight laughing and yelling... kept us up for an hour until someone knocked on the door to quiet them (we must not have been the only guests annoyed). The pool was nice but JAMMED packed.. you couldn't just get in the pool without being in very close proximity to all the other guests including lots of balls flying through the air and kids crashing down in the water right next to you. We have 3 kids, I am not against children, however perhaps a "quiet pool" designation would be a nice idea for this higher end resort. Lastly, we took the shuttle to the village... again, the hospitality of the driver was less that remarkable. He did not get up from his drivers seat when we approached the shuttle, just told us to get in... all this while staring down at his phone. Once in the shuttle did not say "hello" or "how is your evening".... nothing. He just looked at his phone until it was time to go. He did tell us the return shuttle times upon dropping us off int he village so that was nice. On the way back, SAME THING...

We loved the outdoors but not the indoors!

Posted Jul 27, 2016
We loved that this hotel was family friendly, we have a two year old and she had a blast playing in the pool. The exterior looks great, simply beautiful. Our problem was the room, I have never slept on more uncomfortable beds. I am 6m pregnant and hoped to at least have some rest at night while my toddler sleeps. Instead, both my husband and I woke up with the worst back pain. The first night I slept for 2 hours, and could not get out of bed from sharp back pains. The second night I was not looking forward to sleeping at all and indeed I did not. The beds were so high, the pillows were so uncomfortable. I was expecting much more from their advertisment and for that price. The rooms are also not so sound proof, you could hear everything! Things were simply super old in our room. I'd stay here again but would rather sleep outside than in the indoors!

Family friendly resort with lots of activities

Our room was really warm and stuffy. We turned on the air to circulate through the room but didn't seem like it helped. But the pool and children's actives was excellent.

Wonderful family friendly resort or a great place for couples. We were there with our 2 kids in a fireplace suite and the views and room were amazing! Lots to do and near so many fun places.
