Nice hotel near to local servicesPosted Mar 18, 2018
Peppers is a nice hotel close to the centre of Tekapo which is a fairly small resort. The lake is spectacular and it's a shame that only a small number of the rooms have a decent view. However, it's adequate for a short stay but if you're planning on staying for several days, try to get a lake view room.

Location: Good location near town centre
Nice clean hotel but not what I was looking for. No facilities for making tea etc, or meals

Just about OKPosted Mar 16, 2018
Pros: 1) The property is nice 2) The 2 bedroom apt. was well equipped and comfy 3) Reception staff is really nice
Cons: Reception staff is really nice but apparently the hotel rules/management doesn't allow adjustments of any kind to accomodate the guests
We stayed at the place for a night and below is what I felt 1) The property is nice 2) The 2 bedroom apt. was well equipped and comfy What I did'nt like 1) The wifi was supposed to be free and we had access to only 250MB which in this day is just stupid! All around the world Free Wifi means either unlimited or capped at 5gb/10gb. 2) The use of credit card fee - 2% for master/visa and 3.5% for Amex, why is this passed on to the customer! No where else in NZ or elsewhere. Quite cheap! 3) We asked for a Lake facing and no one got back to us 4) breakfast @ $28 per Person not worth it, better to go to the town center and check out "Reflections Cafe"

Good locationPosted Mar 15, 2018
Well placed, however very small room which felt very confining. Clean and neat, no room for a chair and difficult opening a large sized case. Comfortable bed, but awkward moving around it to get to bathroom. Check in and restaurant staff very helpful and friendly.

Nicest place of the lotPosted Mar 9, 2018
Pros: Nicest option in the area
Cons: Better signs for rooms and allocated car spot for each room.
Location: Close to restaurants and Lake Tekapo and other activities.
Small room, but overall satisfactory and nice stay. Hard to park outside your apartment at night, as it's full with other cars. The room itself is quite small, and not easy to walk about for two people or place luggage.

Great stayPosted Jan 27, 2018
Pros: Everything sound ok
Cons: knife was not sharp so taking ages to "saw" the meat. Washing/Dryer took too long (3+ hours) to clean/dry.
Location: excellent location - just opposite the village with all necessities available.
Everything sound ok. Very spacious 2 level accommodation - bedrooms, shower & laundry are on ground floor, which kitchen, living etc ... was on 1st floor that gave the excellent lake view.

Nice view and spacious room. I even saw the galaxy outside my room during the stay. Unforgettable trip!

Save your self, go somewhere else.Posted Jan 7, 2018
I stayed at Peppers for a couple of nights (booked on a friend’s recommendation). My lord, what a poor decision did I make. The rooms are tiny af, even the rooms I had in Tokyo were bigger. The rooms ends where the gate opens, I could not find a place to put my luggage anywhere. And they fleece you on the wifi, they say 1GB free wifi is included but it is no where near 1GB, finished in the first hour of light usage. I am writing this review from the hotel using my international roaming data because, you guessed it, wifi finished in the first 3 hours of checking in. The rooms are clean and the property is massive on tekapo but this hotel has terrible flaws, I would never come back. Such a shame because the Peppers on Gold Coast is the exact opposite of this property. The check-in staff was nice but that’s about it. I am not usually a fussy traveller and don’t get irked by nuances, but my god is this a terrible place.

Great Lake ViewPosted Dec 24, 2017
Pros: Size of the suite
Cons: Gym machines were not working. Remove a hedge that blocks traffic view - dangerous. Provide better cooking pots, pans etc.
Location: Walk into town - 30 minutes
These are large beautiful suites (1 or 2 bedroom) with 2 bathrooms (with 2nd Bedroom) and full Kitchen with a great view of the lake. Nice upgrades like fireplace and heated bath floor. Excellent staff front desk staff. Restaurant was very good with excellent service - large delicious portions. Nice 30 minute walk into town along the lake shore.
