Nice at one time

Due to recent weather, rooms had a musty smell. Did not enjoy. Booked thru Expedia, so I did not want to hassle with the expected refund nightmare.

Terrible Air Quality

I'm not a tough customer, but the air quality was terrible. The smell of smoke and mildew on the 2nd floor and in our room was stifling. If I were to guess, I would bet the air filters in fans/ac's have not been changed in a LONG time. Not sure if there are renovations happening but outside the hotel looks nothing like advertised pics. We enjoyed the hotel bar and the friendly staff.

Awful Disgusting Hotel

This hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel. According to Expedia.com the hotel is rated 3 stars, but let me tell you, its far from a 3 star. The entrance is nice and presentable, but once you enter the elevator you can tell the difference between the front entrance to the rest of the hotel. We were given a room on the 6th floor, the moment the elevator doors opened the environment changed. From the smell of the hallway to the stained carpet and nasty walls you can only imagine. I had to go back to the front desk 4 times because the room key would not open the door. It was past 10:30pm and we were all tired. I kept telling the guy at the front desk that this key doesn't work and yet he kept giving me the same key. On the 4th attempt of going back to the front desk I told him that I don't have the time or patient to deal with a key that doesn't work. Finally he switched rooms for us. Entering the room #644 was another experience on its own. Nasty and musty smell. The carpet was stained, the room smelled like mold, and the beds were awful. I had 2 small kids with me so you can only imagine mamma bear with their children about touching anything around this hotel. Yeah let's just say that I will never pay another $160+ to stay at this hotel. I'm not sure why they even cater to Detroit Team there because if I was a player I for sure won't be staying at this dump of a hotel. Will be calling Expedia and hopefully get some of my money back because this hotel is a DUMP
