Awful Disgusting Hotel

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. It needs major clean up and renovation
Location: ????
This hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel. According to Expedia.com the hotel is rated 3 stars, but let me tell you, its far from a 3 star. The entrance is nice and presentable, but once you enter the elevator you can tell the difference between the front entrance to the rest of the hotel. We were given a room on the 6th floor, the moment the elevator doors opened the environment changed. From the smell of the hallway to the stained carpet and nasty walls you can only imagine. I had to go back to the front desk 4 times because the room key would not open the door. It was past 10:30pm and we were all tired. I kept telling the guy at the front desk that this key doesn't work and yet he kept giving me the same key. On the 4th attempt of going back to the front desk I told him that I don't have the time or patient to deal with a key that doesn't work. Finally he switched rooms for us. Entering the room #644 was another experience on its own. Nasty and musty smell. The carpet was stained, the room smelled like mold, and the beds were awful. I had 2 small kids with me so you can only imagine mamma bear with their children about touching anything around this hotel. Yeah let's just say that I will never pay another $160+ to stay at this hotel. I'm not sure why they even cater to Detroit Team there because if I was a player I for sure won't be staying at this dump of a hotel. Will be calling Expedia and hopefully get some of my money back because this hotel is a DUMP

Convenient location but not kept up

Cons: Old building ;not well maintained but could be clean.
Large Footprints on carpet in the hallway the whole time I was there. Carpet in room was old and not clean. The lighting was very dim. When I asked for a brighter bulb the said the max was 60 watts and I would have to come down to the front desk to get one. The room had 40 watt bulbs. I could not read. The house telephone did not work-had no dial tone. I reported that to no effect. There was a restrictor on the water in the sink that only allowed minimal hot or cold water to flow. Finally, I had to kill a roach

It was an older hotel that had been remodeled but still had that 1970s charms, I would stay again.

It's okay - You get what you pay for

The hotel is old and outdated. The room smelled old but was clean. The fitness center doesn't exists but you can work out at Golds Gym which is half a mile down the road. The pool is old and not taken care of. There is no restaurant in the hotel. There is a bar that was super cheap which is a plus. The hotel is close to a lot of food spots. The continental breakfast is cereal and bagels. All in all you get what you pay for.
