I feel bad for this hotel
Posted Jul 24, 2016 on Hotels
Although it was super nice of the front desk man to give us a huge suite, I booked and paid for a pool view with two queen beds. I ended up with a king bed, and barely a corner glimpse of the pool. The furniture in the room is terribly stained. One table is missing a leg. It was a bit shocking for the shower to give a quick, intermittent burst of scalding hot water during our showers.
It's clear that the poor hotel is in need of a lot of updating and repairs. However, we only stayed one night and it was a suitable alternative to the pricey Legoland hotel. The pool is the reason we didn't run away. I'm pretty sure that next time we'll opt to drive the 2 hours home rather than stay.
(I tried uploading photos of the furniture but they're too large evidently)
On a side note, I'm surprised at the unsafe feel of the neighborhood so near a theme park.
