Awesome place close to everything.

This was a weekend for our Cheer competition and I found this place to be delightful and reasonably priced for the level of class it upheld. The staff were all fabulous!

Terrace Hotel - Nice Room

Posted Dec 29, 2016
Pros: It's a beautiful historic hotel
Cons: Water pressure in the shower - very low The blonde morning girl behind the front desk was unfriendly and acted like our questions were an annoyance
Location: Nice lake area to walk around.
The hotel stay was very nice and comfortable. Pros: Nice hotel with a lake area view. Complimentary valet parking. Cons: Very low water pressure in shower and the morning front desk girl was unfriendly and acted like she really didn't want to be bothered with customers.

Historic and central

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Pros: Position and character.
Cons: The included breakfast had to be taken in the lobby or on the terrace outside. The pastries were incredibly sweet - a yoghurt would have been nice.
Location: Central. Town square and park decorated and a pleasant evening stroll. Bok tower and gardens and Bar b reserve worth visiting.
We enjoyed this hotel particularly because it was not a chain and had character. It is in the perfect position in central Lakeland beside the lake. Good parking opposite under cover. We spent Christmas Eve and day there and enjoyed a splendid dinner.

Downtown historic Hotel. Great in-house F&B

Posted Dec 26, 2016
Pros: Location, Food & Beverage, valet service. Also has small business PC and workout room in basement.
Cons: Room maintenance, paint, tile replacement/repair. This hotel was completely remodeled I the mid '90's, The guest rooms could use carpeting and TLC.
Location: Downtown Lakeland offers much within walking distance.
We stay here when in Lakeland on family business, about 10 nights in 2016. Location is excellent for our purposes, walking distance to dozens of downtown shopping, dining, lounging and recreational opportunities. Walking distance to Amtrak passenger train station. Free valet service, morning coffee/danish/fruit station (which BTW is in a very inconvenient area near the front desk) Rooms are smallish but comfy; so many pillows there's at least one that you'll like!) . Several rooms we've stayed in need some paint touch-up, Bathroom tile seems to be the most common issue in several rooms.

Not a great experience

Posted Dec 6, 2016
Pros: Great location
Hotel staff was not very professional. Front desk workers were not helpful. We were awakened every morning at 5:30 am by a trash truck which does not seem bad except we were on the 9th floor. Bathroom was outdated. Bedroom has only one lamp. It's sad because this hotel could be nice.

Excellent stay. We have stayed here many times but Christmas is so special. It's magical looking at the decorations at the lake and the Terrace

Hotel is quaint. Convenient

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: It was a historic place. It had a pleasant appearance, convenient and a covered porch with comfortable seating.
Cons: Offer a better continental breakfast. Larger beds in rooms.
Location: The Lakeland Center is within 5 minutes drive.
The hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. If you like a hearty breakfast then the continental breakfast will be a HUGE let down. There was coffee, a bowl of fruit and a tray of danish. That's all! The rooms were clean, but the full sized beds instead of queen beds were too small for my family's liking. When you have to fit 2 teenagers or 2 adults on one of those beds, it's a bit uncomfortable. Hotel was very conveniently located near The Lakeland Center and the complimentary valet parking was much appreciated. Overall it was a nice hotel, but I would have liked a better selection for breakfast. And since they don't serve an early breakfast on Sunday mornings - they have brunch that starts at 10 or 10:30 - we had to go somewhere else for breakfast. Since we were staying only the one night because of an event we were attending on Sunday, we didn't really check out the rest of the hotel, so unable to comment this time on the other amenities available or condition of same.
