Comfortable, Quiet Resort

Had a wonderful time. Clean rooms, beautiful setting on the lake. Dinner was very good as well.

Plenty of activities

Pros: Plenty of activities, hotel staff, food was good (although expensive)
Cons: I dont mind the old decor (even if its scratched up a little) but I hope they could improve on that old musty smell.
Location: You don't need to look for things to do outside of the resort, there's plenty to do inside the resort. It is not Club Med but they are still all fun.
We just came back from a short weekend trip from Cove Haven and we had a lot of fun. There are activities everywhere, you will not be bored. The rooms (our room, the inside of the buildings, etc) had an overall old musty smell that I am sure the owners and management has been trying to correct for the longest time. Just needs updates that I'm sure costs money, so we are here to try to support. Decor is also very dated, but it was expected and part of the fun. You cannot beat having your own jacuzzi. The food was decent also, over priced but good. Again, part of what we expected from a place like this. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Even before we came, we knew that a big part of what you pay for is the availability of activities. We could've paid the same money and went to the Borgata in AC but we wouldn't have all these activities at our fingertips (or atleast we would've paid a lot of money for them). Overall a good stay. A good alone weekend with my husband. Everyone needs it. We are pretty sure we will be back. I just hope by the time we come back, there has been more updates made. Good Luck to the new owners. I hope it succeeds in this new era. :)

beautiful scenery , lots wildlife in view

Pros: pools, scenery, wildlife, friendly staff and helpful , lake , romantic rooms !
Location: horseback riding , marina ,
weekend celebrating our 30th anniversary . lots of activities enjoyed the two outside pools and the heated inside pool with a real nice Jacuzzi . Dinner was very good and also was the breakfast . Had the apple Eden room with pool highly recommend this room ! Large lake with marina took part in motor boat tour of the lake that was a lot fun ! cons are very hilly terrain but they have a love van that will shuttle you place to place . pros are lots of activities and entertainment beautiful scenery I enjoyed that they had a deep pool ! Would definitely return !

Expected more that I got. In my opinion the dinner has to be served not "all you can eat".

Good for a quiet vacation

In the middle of nowhere so its hard to find stores for small essentials. Pretty much everything is on the resort. Good for a quiet vacation.

BI bug in the pool and 5 bugs thru the night upstairs, maintenance needed for pool, lots of cracks, gross stuff in the pool.overpriced overall for quality if room, nothing that special, cool but also gross. Non smoking rooms that smell like stale cigarettes and cheap perfume.

We're sorry your stay wasn't as good as you had expected it to be. We clean the resort daily and clean the suites entirely before guests check in so we can guarantee your stay is clean and most certainly not gross.
