Wondering what ‘suite’ means.

Posted Oct 20, 2017
Overall the hotel was fine. The staff is wonderful. I am confused about what the term suite means as I think this hotel sets it out to be a quasi-residence hotel, however, the room size, configuration, and furniture is more like a regular pedestrian hotel with a stove top and fridge. I was told the room had a ‘recliner’. The ‘recliner’ was a regular club chair covered in a faux Naugahyde and did not recline. Most of the time I think of a suite as having a separate sitting area usually with a sleeper sofa and more home-like accommodations. Which is why I opted for this room rather than the two queen bed set up. Both were the same fee when I made the reservation. I chose the latter because we were staying a few days and a sitting area is always nice. When I asked to switch I was told it would cost about $40 more a day. Probably the most disappointing feature is that your room is only cleaned weekly. Which means your trash isn’t emptied, sheets and towels not changed, floors not vacuumed or swept, or your bathroom cleaned. All of this in line with their ‘residential’ theme I gather. However, there is no accommodations for tidying up your room or emptying your trash. I think all of these features are for the economic benefit of the chain and not for the environment or benefit of the guest. It’s just s weird mix of hospitality genres.

Cons: If a room is being rented for the day/night they should turn on the ice maker in the fridge. I turned mine on and It took all day. No ice machines.
Location: Many things nearby. Location close to the highway if travelling around. Shopping is close, restaurants close, a casino. Great location.
I had a great stay. Room is clean and convenient with full kitchen, FULL refrigerator and stove/oven. The hotel is close to a lot of shopping, dining and entertainment. When I checked in and needed assistance Michelle was OUTSTANDING.

Very nice, clean, and friendly hotel. We had a studio with a full kitchen. There's no daily housekeeping service, but you can get fresh towels and sheets any time. The gym is nice but a little cramped to use the free weights. Overall, a great place to stay. We will be returning. Special shout out to Nicole who was extremely personable and helpful at the front desk.

Pros: The room was well lid out with a mini kitchen, refrig., two burners and dishes. Adequate bathroom and queen bed. The room was clean and reasonably furnished/stocked. Cons: Noisy air conditioner and less than comfortable bed.
